Yet another fat slob. Is there some sort of industry regulation that requires these types to have a body-mass index of at least 35?

It was the 90s. Rob Liefeld was one of the biggest names in comics. That explains a lot of how Penders got a career.
He never learned to adapt to the times from what I see. A bunch of those drawings looked highly dated to me and I couldn't even tell that they were done last year either.

Oh shit they talked about this dude on Grumpcade the other day, they said he randomly made up Sonic's birth name without consulting Sega and deemeding canon.

Yeah I was just gonna mention that, the name Ken Penders gave him was Ogilvie Maurice Hedgehog.

(Ross also mentioned CWC and BLUE ARMS which was awesome. Can't remember if it was the same episode or not)

Yup it was, in their leiusre suit larry playthrough they made a joke about sonichu too.
THEY KNOW

So Ken Penders has been posting some rough drafts for rejected covers from the Sonic series. Two of those caught in particular caught my eye:

I've been following Penders' actions for a while now. I haven't really been following Sonic for years, and I never really read the comics, but the quality of his art, his gigantic ego, and his attempt at using a character he does not own the rights to have made him hard for me to ignore.
