I know we're all arseholes, but posting her here may end up actually saving her. Reading the comments might eventually strike a cord and open her eyes that what she's experiencing is domestic violence. A lot of women don't actually realise they're in an abusive relationship, especially if those close to them turn a blind eye. Even if it sows a slight seed of doubt, that seed will grow and she'll start to think about the situation differently.

If it continues to get this out of hand, someone on here residing in Canada will put a call in to the police- they may not be able to do much, but at least it will put her on their radar and if she does eventually want to escape she will have someone solid to turn to.

Even if the victim doesn't file any charges, making a report will make it easier for her to get help (police intervention, restraining order, whatever) if she decides to leave in the future because there is now a paper trail and documented past behavior, even if other people were the ones doing the reporting.
