In my opinion, there's nothing particularly special about the members of that community that specifically latch onto hating Schlatt. It's seemingly just a political thing of them trying to make Schlatt the Minecraft community's Cheeto Hitler; because underage twitterbrain leftists want to #cancel Schlatt for potentially having "right-wing" or "conservative" worldviews.
