I find myself missing that weird monster sometimes. Truly to closest I’ve ever seen someone evoke Frankenstein’s monster (book) in that he was so utterly maladjusted and ill-fitting in man’s world, yet couldn’t exist without it.

I think the piss was fathoms more entertaining than any other lolcow that ever existed. If Fishtank counts it's the only thing I've come across that compares.
King Cobra was as likable as the Misfits, just not quite as entertaining.
And yes, I genuinely liked pretty much all of the Misfits. At least the main cast members, and a lot of the supporting / tertiary characters.
I reckon the closest to mainstream I remember Misfits getting was the Rich Piana slap incident. And looking it up just now, that was in 2016. Fuckin' hell.
