I'm really happy I randomly stumbled into that place while deciding to just walk in a straight line across Tokyo. Walking infra. is bad in the US because it's a low-density country, it should be compared to other low-density countries like Canada or Russia, which barely even have good driving infra.
Furthermore, urban living in the US is not what the consumer wants - the "consumers dream" is buying a big piece of land in the suburbs(you know, where there's no niggers), in Japan they all want condos near their urban-workplace
