"New insights in medicine and acceptable treatments necessitates an adjustment of the existing definition of clinical or forensic poisoning to: 'An individual's medical or social unacceptable condition as a consequence of being under influence of an exogenous substance in a dose too high for the person concerned'." (What is the definition of a poisoning?) In my opinion, taking estrogen when it's not prescribed and not needed is considered a dose too high for any sane male. Taking estrogen increases the risk of blood clots and cancer. Less doctors nowadays are prescribing estrogen for menopause because of the dangerous risks. Who knows how long they may have been giving him pills AND/or powdered estrogen. Men with too much estrogen for their body can develop erectile dysfunction, osteoporosis, and even infertility. More estrogen than the body naturally produces (and in the average range for a male of his condition) is too high for the person concerned.
