Is Jace more "likeable" then other Cows?

I think it would be fun to play an FPS with him, though I'm a ninja in those rather than Rambo.
Lemme tell you from Gmod experience that it's not that fun to play with him on RP. All you end up doing is following him around and just nodding your head with whatever ideas he has. No tactics, no off the wall things, just "X is bad and I gave them high power weapons, help me kill them!" Only good day I honestly had was the wrestling match, and even now I'm pissed that Gmod caused a BSoD (fucking secondary interrupts) and corrupted my recorded footage of the events. As for CSGO, I don't even own the game and he still sends invites to me to play whenever he plays it.

I think a big part of his likeability comes from the fact that, as much as he tries to act like a badass, he's about as intimidating as a pillowcase full of marshmallow peeps. If he had real guns, his militia posturing would instantly become terrifying, but he seems quite content with his airsofts. Plus, we've all known a dude (or several) like Jace. As in, wannabe tough guys who really thought that military life would be a big vidya-and-weed party, none of whom ever sobered up long enough to enlist. At the very least we've all encountered our share of internet tough guys, and Jace combines the funniest parts of all of them with the hyperactive glee of an 8-year-old playing make-believe soldier in the backyard.

On top of all of that, he's something of an inversion of the usual lolcow formula. Your average cow takes something bright and innocent - say, Pokemon or the Powerpuff Girls or your childhood in general - and puts their own perverse spin on it until it becomes dark and creepy. Jace, meanwhile, believes he lives in a frightening world of counter-terrorism and black ops and Muslim menaces, but somehow finds a way to make it all seem like the ultimate crazy stoner anecdote. In a community devoted to studying the worst the internet has to offer, he's like a ray of (somewhat racist) sunshine.

In summary: all those times you wondered what zapping to the extreme would actually look like? It looks like Jace.

Jace's racism and homophobia make me hesitate to describe him as "likable." Like there's an alternate universe out there where I'm a practicing Muslim (or even just look vaguely Middle-eastern) and Jace's antics are less laughable/amusing and more laughable/amusing/a grim reminder of all the other jackasses like him out there who want to make my life miserable because of my race or religion. Deep down though I know that Jace is probably harmless and his track record of running and hiding from the few perceived Muslims he does encounter says a lot more about his beliefs than "I want to kill all sand niggers" does. He doesn't hate gay men or Muslims, he's deeply afraid of them gaining any measure of control over him. And probably due to impressionability/delusions more than anything else. The source(s) of the homophobia are less immediately transparent but his anti-Muslim slant seems like it could very well just be a result of the post-9/11 societal paranoia he grew up with combined with a misguided sense of patriotism and some persecution fantasies to boot. Or maybe Al-Qaeda killed his dad. Who knows. I guess what I'm trying to say is that while it wouldn't change that Jace's intolerance is pretty darn unsavory and inexcusable, it seems unlikely that it's an actual part of who he is (as is the case for most bigots) and not just a product of his issues going unchallenged and lack of world experience. Were he to cut down on the persecution fantasies somehow and get out a little more, who knows where it would all go.

Maybe "endearing" would be a better word for me. He's just a big grown-up kid who does a lot of weird things that make me laugh. Like the way his voice gets all breathy and high-pitched whenever he smokes pot? That shit kills me. Or when he gets really passionate about something and just starts babbling a bunch of random, barely-related words and somehow strings them together into a statement? I mean have you seen him run? Almost everything he does is absolutely hilarious. He doesn't need to be likable.

I wonder if Jace's sympathetic reputation has anything to do with the fact that a lot of us have interests we share with him. Between guns, wrestling, video games, weed, parkour, and all his other little hobbies like creative writing or cars or even anime, I think a lot of people end up inadvertently finding some common ground with Jace that makes him appear like more of a real dude and less of an irl cartoon character.

Jace is decidedly above average when it comes to regular competitive play. I do better than him in CSGO by a good margin. Even Null is as well.

Jace is pretty personable and there was that one time when he seemed really concerned about his fans, even those that were gay. He's certainly likable.

Though with the recent video he seems to not show much concern for Eli, and I don't know if caring about fans is just part of his "gamer" persona, and now I'm not so sure.

Masao is the most lovable lolcow to me. He's not unintelligent yet he does things that most people would consider common sense not to do.
