China has dug its nails into all the world's modern culture and it got there by taking advantage of the 1st world countries that relied on them for so long and still does rely on them for cheap products.
China will only grow more influential with time and the lazy, consumerist foolishness of the West is what got them to where they are.

Absolutely not, you can only be the next Rome if your language, alphabet or capital sounds at least as cool as the originals.

For example:

Constantinople. Bad ass name, spoke Greek and Latin, used both alphabets. Second Rome locked in.
Moscow. Mediocre name and language, badass alphabet.
Paris. Great name but terrible mushmouthed language, Latin alphabet.
Berlin. Weak name but badass language. Latin alphabet.

In comparison, Mandarin Chinese sounds like absolute dogshit gibberish and its writing system is one of the stupidest ever conceived. If it were Middle Chinese and the capital was Chang'an, things might be different.

I have never met a single german male who did not sound like an emaciated urbanite, they have one of the most feminine accents in the world. Maybe south germans are a bit more based, language still sucks ass tho
