I only casually skimmed this thread when I first saw it pop up. But HOLY FUCK is this mans pathetic history beyond the veil of abhorrent and embarrassing. That is a Smith and Wesson Model 36 snubnose revolver. 38 special, J frame, 5 shots. Finish looks beat to hell on his, very likely old and used, possibly a police trade in.

Edit: There was apparently a police report that called it a model 10. Model 10 snub noses do exist. They look like this:

I did update this btw. The Model 10 snubnose and the Model 36 J-frame snub nose look almost identical, especially from his picture. I am 50/50 on that news report being right. The model 10 has six shots of 38, the Model 36 has 5 shots.

Okay, so I think it's possible that James is our Elijah's step-father. His great-grandmother's obituary has an Eli Chapedaline as a great-grandchild he would be seven and judging by the photo here Elijah looks to be the oldest of those five children so it's possible. Also Cecilia Chapdelaine's obituary has an Elijah Chapdelaine listed as a grandchild. If I'm not wrong then his biological father could be Eric Chapdelaine.
