I can't wait for somebody to invite a bunch of their friends to KF, building up a clique of users only for them to turn on & eat each other, spilling their spaghetti all over the place.

That's strange. The only thing I would imagine is maybe it takes overnight until your account is approved to send invites? I've been on other forums that have thresholds to access certain features of their forum but once you hit it they do not always give you access immediately and usually takes overnight to work.

That's the only thing I could possibly think of since you should definitely be able to send out invites now.

Maybe we should have a contest thread to see who can get the best trade or amount of currency for their invite. It would be interesting if somebody honestly or tricked somebody into offering something amazing, though unless there is an outlier, I suspect the results will be underwhelming,

The post-merge title is like a yellow star badge. I wear it with pride until I get sent to the newfag gas chamber.
 
You can't just give a bunch of retards power. We already know what happens. They get these weird badges next to their name that designate them as an internet forum moderator and they start doing things like removing posts. Next thing you know, your entire website is a haven for the depraved, where reasonable voices are silenced. They will brigade against the sane folk and hunt them down, one by one, sending them to dilation stations where they are forced to troon out or go lights out. Then, a mass exodus starts, where Fewi Karms is founded and the persecuted experience a temporary moment of respite.

Shitposting aside, I agree with restricting new registrations. We don't need faggots from Twitter and Reddit trying to participate in the only way they know how- mouth open, ears shut. We also don't need a-logs showing up to try and gayop harassment against people not really involved with the lolcow, but only know them in passing.

My account is from the deagle nation years and i still cannot use the invitation system.
 
Thank God for this, I knew something wasn't right when I started to see the word 'transphobic' being thrown around unironically.

Invite Only reg is likely the best course of action for now.
Hopefully things go smoothly as you try to keep the board up despite it all.
