I was initially going to make this a post in the India Menace thread, but imo this would be off topic since I'm talking about a menace to Indians. Then again, they are still the menace, to themselves. It might fit in the Happenings subsection, but the heat wave is likely to settle down for the year, so it's more like "it Happened, and will Happen Again Worse next year." Then, I remembered that a true high caste Brahman simply throws his garbage where he pleases and waits for a lower caste to take care of it.
Pajeetistan Burns
May -- typically the hottest month of the year in the Indian subcontinent, is drawing to a close (IS WHAT I WOULD HAVE SAID IF THE STUPID DDOS ATTACK DIDN'T HAPPEN AND CAUSE ME TO LOSE ACCESS TO THIS DRAFT! NO! NO NO NO! DO NOOOOOT DDOS). I invite you *wobbles head* to celebrate with me the absolute chaos and devastation this heat wave has wreaked upon the Indian Menace this 2026 and beyond. I have provided toxic paint dust to throw at each other and into the water supply, and everyone who participates will receive one elephant dropping to eat or burn for fuel. If you do participate and read my post, you may potentially come to the conclusion that deforestation (especially by pajeets) is an underestimated threat to our well-being. I'll leave this here for reference:

Keep in mind that your heat index value counts as being 15°F or 8.33°C hotter if you are in direct sunlight. Also, here is what the Mayo Clinic says will happen to you as your body temperature rises, saar:

The wet-bulb theoretical temperature limit for sustainable human life is something I just learned about today. It gets mentioned a lot in the news articles I'm reading, but it's usually mentioned without accounting for humidity, rendering it useless. This study on wet-bulb temperature theory is nonetheless very interesting because it shows that uncompensated cardiovascular heat stress occurs even in healthy individuals at much lower temperatures than expected.

"Most climate vulnerable country" is a fun way of saying "responsible for more deforestation than a Captain Planet villain."

Did they leave out the word "more," as in "more lethal" from the title of this article? I guess lack of sleep will do that to you...

Saar we have no weather system please saar.

The economists would be proven correct, as you will see.

Now at the end of May, the coastal city of Mumbai still doesn't seem to be getting any temperatures under 86°F/30°C, no matter the time of day.

If you remember our heat index, that's between danger and extreme danger at noon. Thankfully, the thunderclouds are preventing you from direct solar exposure, which would place you in the deep red extreme danger zone due to counting as if it were an additional +15 degrees F.

If you are outside during early morning hours, where the average temperature is 32°F/32°C you are in the danger zone. If the clouds clear, and you are in direct sunlight, you are in deep red, extreme danger.

Apparently the heat wave has been going since the beginning of March, meaning it was THREE MONTHS of agony for the city -- and FOUR if (WHEN) it continues in July.

Link to the National Institutes of Health article.
I don't think I need to describe what it's probably like inside those shack homes, and they must be radiating heat to the city around them as well.

You please carry an onion in your pocket to reverse the temperature
The intensity, and the corrupt jeet-made origins of the 2026 annual heat wave first came to my attention when I saw this thread:
A pajeet who owns and operates countless ACs is recommending the poor to carry an onion in their pocket as a magic deterrent against heat stroke.
KiwiFarms users imagine the smell.
I found this video of a pajeet explaining why pajeets are utterly fucked.
Power outages, Fuel shortages, and Famine
Even if you have an AC, you may find yourself or your elderly/sick/infant relatives relying on magical pocket-onions to keep from suffering cardiovascular failure during the increasingly-common outages.
Even if you have a portable generator for your AC, you may find yourself unable to buy fuel as the Gay of Hormuz remains in crisis.
Even if you have spare fuel for your generator, you may find yourself unable TO BUY ANY BLOODY FOOD BECAUSE THE BLOODY FARMERS ARE DROPPING BLOODY FUCKING DEAD IN THE FIELDS! NOOOO! NO! NO! NO! DO NOT FAMINE! DO NOT FAMINE THE COUNTRY! DO NOOOOOOOT FAMINE!
Alright, so the Gangster Computer God told me that it's not a proper famine yet. However, there is inflation in all food groups:
The Gangster Computer God also told me that the government has severely restricted, and in some cases prohibited farmers to export their produce. This has given rural farmers the shaft because they are unable to sell to international buyers who will pay a premium for the goods.
Even if you die of heat stroke, your death will not be recorded as heatwave-related. Either due to corruption, or because corrupt pajeeticians are in no hurry to update the laws regarding the accuracy of death certificates.
This is a 2024 article, the death toll is likely much higher in 2026, but remains unknown.
Opinions
I can't stand Al Jazeera, but this opinion piece is a bit of a banger.
Apparently, the government has set up cooling zones around cities to help people not die. It's kind of similar to how Ukraine has set up heating points around their cities to help people not die during winter. Ukraine's power grid is under bombardment from Russia, India's is not.
I love the line "there is a violence to the light."
It's reminiscent of the hit indie horror game No, I'm Not a Human where going outside during the day will cause you to be incinerated by a demonic, mega-sun.
The author goes on to describe the situation as if the entire country has AIDS and they're just now realizing it.
I have been using all my willpower to avoid making a 40k reference until now, but I can no longer hold back. They are not building smart cities, but rather hive cities. Hive cities that have consumed all the ecosystems surrounding them, gigantic concrete blobs of death and misery, where only the spire clans can have some semblance of a normal life -- when they aren't scheming to lower each other's izzat enough to get them kicked out of the spires, that is.
I like the phrase "relentless two-month emergency." Don't worry, it's coming back next year, and maybe it will be four months long! Suffah bish.
Forum staff @AltisticRight is of the opinion that India is not as bad as hell -- it's actually worse than hell, and Satan threatens misbehaving souls with the punishment of being sent to India.
I asked the Gangster Computer God for its opinion as well.
Conclusions
Do not remove the trees DO NOTTT whatever your opinion on climate change, DO NOOOOOT REMOVE the trees saar NO NO NO NO! DO NOT REMOVE! Deforestation is really really bad especially when mixed with over-pollution and overpopulation saar.
I was telling my fren about the Indian heatwave and he just sent me back this clip of them using an electrical fan and a water hose to cool an electrical transformer.

Not sure what he meant. Is this bad electrical engineering? I don't have a degree. *goat laugh* Anyway, it doesn't seem very safe to bring a water hose into a place like that.
Jugaad means saving money by buying the Nordic model transformer for an Indian subcontinental power problem.
Thanks for reading. *wobbles head*
I was taught that a good essay ends with a question. Do you think the industrializing nation of India is actively de-industrializing because they were never ready to be an industrial nation in the first place?
