Sometimes, I have weird, dark fantasies. This is because I am a gigantic faggot.

However, imagine this. Suppose you had a big red button and you could push it. It would instantly eliminate the entire human race as well as you. Would you push it? And if not, why not? What is wrong with you?

At least at this moment, I wouldn't, but I can't explain why. I'd also beg to have the button taken away from me, because if I had it at all times, I eventually would push it.

Seriously, though, think about this planet without humans on it. I think it would immediately improve. Imagine the candidates to replace humanity as the supreme sapient species. We have elephants, who are incredibly altruistic even across species lines, mourn their dead, and are in most respects the moral superiors of humans. We have dolphins, who are really cute, well, okay they're also incredible perverts and rapists, maybe they aren't the best support for this getting rid of humans argument.

And then there are raccoons, well, they're pretty cute but they're also kind of the gypsies of all animals.

Anyway, humans are shit. But if we got rid of humans, would the replacement be any less shit? I mean, I think elephants probably are the moral superior of humans, but would they actually win out in the thunderdome that would happen if all humans instantly disappeared?

Also anyway. I'd push the button but only if I got to witness the results. Fuck humanity. Worst species ever.
 
I wouldn't press it for the simple fact all animals in human care pets, zoo, sanctuary, aquarium, ETC would starve without a way to escape

if the button erased all human presence and made sure the animals were safe i would

Don't forget crows. They figured out economics, religious warfare, and the concept of volumetric displacement, all with a brain the size of a peanut. Imagine what they could achieve if they evolved a brain as big as ours.

I wouldn't push the button, though. I like being here to watch.

the button is a deceptive thing

what happens to all the nuclear reactors and factories with tons of chemical and biological hazards? they just rot and kill off a majority of the planet's ecosystem

how would it help the planet to basically ramp up pollution by 100
