Was feeling really good last week. Better than I have in ages. Didn't last long as I re-entered one of my famous lows shortly after. Except this time I feel pretty apathetic and unmotivated to accomplish anything. On top of my usual gloomy pessimism.

Taking some time to do more walking and get more sleep. The changing season often jerks my moods around so I'm hoping I get to feel good again soon.

I mostly drink all day and get progressively angrier as I scold my retarded puppy for eating his own shit and chewing up charger cords, until I explode at people on the internet. It usually takes until about 10;45 am to achieve full froth.

Should probably drink less, then. And it's a puppy, dude, give him a break and learn how to train him, give him chewtoys, put bitter apple on things you don't want him shredding. Coprophagia can be a symptom of a number of issues, possible nutritional deficiencies, possible stress, possibly just dumb - keep the poop cleaned up and housebreak him.

know all that, and only scold him gently and very rarely. He's a very happy boy and well fed and cared for. I'm just making up bullshit because I'm deadly bored. How are you?
 
I've been abnormally exhausted after doing literally nothing on slow days at work. Caffeine just makes me jittery and gives me the shits.
 
I've been talking about my own troubles, but now I'm feeling some secondhand stress. Apologies if PL but it's...unexpected.

My boyfriend's brother lives on the other side of the state. He's a little slow (not sure with what, but he lives in a group home), so I guess when their mom didn't answer a few phone calls right away instead of calling bf who lives nearby he jumps to calling the cops for a wellness check on her. It would normally be fine, his mom would go out and say "hey, I'm okay" and that'd be that. But apparently when running her name she had a couple warrants for theft and they arrested her. Now she's a nice enough lady, but going senile and a bit of a shut in. I can't imagine it'd be more than petty theft or shoplifting but none of us know wtf is exactly going on at the moment. I doubt bro knew about it either. I hope things get cleared quickly but I'm worried about how my bf is taking this.
 
Received the official confirmation email that I did not get the on-campus job. They "have identified another candidate whose experience more closely fits our requirements."

It was a damn group interview, all girls. I wore a pantsuit, the others wore the typical leggings/skinny jeans/jeggings with a blouse of some kind. I don't like that stuff: I either wear a pantsuit or dress to interviews or church. They were almost all blonde or light brunette, spoke in nearly the same way, and were all either nursing or elementary ED majors. Needless to say I stuck out; I don't look like them. With the way my last name falls I was one of the last to answer each question, so every answer was already taken when it got to me, or everyone else said what I was gonna say.

I assume I was not hired because I was too intimidating, despite having held managerial positions in the past, in favor of hiring cookie-cutter girls.
 
So I interviewed sometime last week for a position, was a one-on-one interview, felt pretty OK about it and thought it was one of my better interviews. They told me at the end of the interview that they'd be selecting a candidate the following week. Fair enough.

Next week rolls around. No phonecall, email, anything on Monday. Odd. "Next week" is vague enough. Tuesday I call them, inquire about my candidacy. Lady becomes audibly terse in tone - "We will finalize a decision on Wednesday, you should have an answer by then." Thank her for the clarification. Not sure what her problem is.

Wednesday passes by. No phonecall, email, anything.

Right, now I'm pissed. I'm fine with not being selected, but the least you could do is let me know that I was passed up you MISERABLE SHITCUNT. This is like a fucking cornerstone of customer service - follow-through and doing what you say you're going to do, being proactive, all of that. Like, christ's sake, you spent nearly 10 minutes talking to me about the importance of customer service skills to your company, and grilled me for like a half hour on previous experience with that alone. You have proceeded to waste my time and then leave me in the cold with no idea of whether a decision had even been made.

Everywhere lately, and I mean EVERYWHERE, I have seen people screw up in ways I've never seen them screw up before. Was told I would have antibiotics for my pets by a Friday, did not receive them until the Monday after, and one of them died in the meantime. Bus drivers running 15 minutes behind schedule, improperly setting GPS tags or not setting them at all thus making them impossible to find with the transit company's app, phone operators getting snippy when asked where a bus was ("DID YOU LOOK ON THE APP?" "Yes, and it says he's half a mile from where he's supposed to be." "THAT'S THE WRONG BUS." "Then why does he have the right bus' GPS tag?"), one company claiming I was ineligible for transfer between positions and voiding various applications when I was not even an employee yet, after filing applications for various positions within the company... and then the absolute shitshow that was the election.

Nobody actually knows what they're doing anymore. Everyone is faking it and they're not making it. I am literally surrounded by idiots.
