Shut up, Jer.I pooped today!
Shit, that’s every day for me.You will attempt to make a joke and people will look at you as if you’ve just garrotted a puppy in front of them and your heart will sink and you’ll think shit, got that wrong.., again.
My gentle nigga, if you only knew how that shit fucks me up. My eyes are still relatively well aka I don't need glasses, but everything I see during the day I fucking screens and I feel how my eyesight deteriorates day by day. My work is a screen. My library is a screen. I love assembling puzzles as a hobby, and it is even worse, trust me on that. Sometimes, I really wish they invented some method of transmitting texts direct to my neocortex without me needing to open my eyes (no, audiobooks don't work for me).all my work has been more on screens
Well I hope you get something soon. It may amuse you to know that 20 dollars an hour is about 15 quid an hour which works out to just under 30k a year. The median wage for the UK is 32k a year.$20 an hour despite being “above minimum wage” FEELS like minimum wage since both paychecks are siphoned before I could even see them.
I thought you were joking, but UK median really is that much lower compared to even Belgium, Netherlands, and Sweden (and it probably still includes London). That's not even comparing it to the US or Switzerland. It's like Italy level. Grim and not especially amusing.Well I hope you get something soon. Thank you, Rita. I’ve been looking for job offers online for days. I hope I have something tangible soon. These expenses will make it where I could barely enjoy days off with my current shift. Spend more time outside in the sunlight, it'll help your eyesight. My gentle nigga, if you only knew how that shit fucks me up. That does suck. I hope something good lands at your feet soon. Best of luck.Thank you, Rita. I’ve been looking for job offers online for days. I hope I have something tangible soon. These expenses will make it where I could barely enjoy days off with my current shift. I work late as well.
I hope you’re able to retire in peace. America has its flaws, but I’m sure Europe is worse. You cannot even post online without the fascist police knocking on your door. Oh, and not sure if ai mentioned it, but energy bills are increasing because of data centers opening up for artificial intelligence. Now we all have to pay more so some nonce could create AI lolicon or whatever. That does suck. I hope something good lands at your feet soon. Best of luck.
im outside and working out more than ever but simultaneously all my work has been more on screens than ever so I'm getting massive eyestrain plus allergens aghhhhhhhhhh
You fellas really sound like you could use some blue light filtering glasses. They may sound like a meme, but I've been using them for almost a decade now and I swear I have no issue staring at the screen literally all day. I'm a terminally online dumbass and between work screen time and home screen time I probably spend 12+ hours a day in front of a monitor, but I don't seem to have any such issues. My gentle nigga, if you only knew how that shit fucks me up. I live at home because rent is so ungodly expensive, and it's better than living alone. I make about $20 in my current position. The company wants me to promote me, but not locally. I would have to move. So the added cost of paying $1300 or $1600+ just in rent would outweigh any sort of pay raise even if it went up to $30/hour. When a third of my paycheck is being taken in taxes it makes my blood boil. I don't know how anyone could look at their paystub and not go into a blind rage over all the parasites living for free with government benefits.Shit, that’s every day for me.
Rent is going up, energy will go up, loans payments will increase, gas is still at an all time up. Only one job interview responded but I still hand to wait this week for an answer. $20 an hour despite being “above minimum wage” FEELS like minimum wage since both paychecks are siphoned before I could even see them.
I second the recommendation. Use the night light setting on your pc and the blue light glasses. Also, print everything you read at your employer's expense if you can. Paper doesn't tire out your eyes in the same way. Fuck the trees. You fellas really sound like you could use some blue light filtering glasses. II love reading of people rejecting their degrees in a weird self-destructive kind of way. Mine was already wishy-washy but I'm so tired of apologizing for or explaining it. It's one thing to say "I got a degree in engineering but don't use it", it's another to choose a bad degree and then not use it either.
Sounds like some based grit there, continuing on in that situation. Good you were that close.Got 2 flat tires, 2 blocks from my friends tire shop, in pouring rain. The flat in the trunk lost air and seal too, not that it would have made a difference.
Lugged one wheel after another on my shoulder and put them on. Drove to the shop and made sure the lug nuts were to torque spec.
