get a Gulikit KingKong controller, they have the new hall effect sticks.
I'm quite fond of the sticks on my Vader 4 Pro, but hall effect or TMR sticks are becoming standard features of most decent third-party controllers so you could get an 8BitDo or GameSir too.

I used Xbox 360 controllers for many many years until I finally switched to third-party and I'm glad I branched out.

I suggest Gulikit because they feel good, have a good heft to them, and are durable and have worked well, it took 2 years for one of the buttons to finally get fucked on mine.

Hell of an update: I got raped by a genderspecial.

I mean, my character, Hornet Herrah's daughter, got raped by a genderspecial, and had to get a back-alley abortion with rusty pokers. Yes, this really happened in the game, it's not a deliberate dysphemism or anything. There was a cutscene! What the fuck.
Ah yes, a typical Hollow Knight story.

I restarted Hollow Knight, beat Hornet and realized I was bored, I really only like Greenpath, Crystal Peak, and the palace (plus some individual challenges: mantis sisters fight, the centipede maze in Deepnest, and the ruined elevator + Isma, it's a cool place).

So I went back to Silksong. Started a new game because I'm not any good to continue the first one.

The first time I played, I couldn't find the second entrance to Bellhart and had to beat quite a few tough battles with no sword upgrades. This time, I decided to beeline for the sword before doing anything else (cloak, pimp pillow, crests, ants, crows). Hasn't died once. Found 2 mask pieces, bought the 3rd piece, went to the Marrow for the fourth piece right before Hair Pick, and got killed in the arena battle. Ragequit, deleted my save, "fuck this game, what a waste of time".

Restarted the following day. This time I'm not trying to be retarded on purpose, so I got the fourth mask piece with the cloak (nothing there is particularly high hp and the robot is a pussy) and left the Marrow arena for later. Just beat Hair Pick. The final stage wasn't easy, last time I had the pimp pillow and probably had the item that allows Hornet to stick to the wall without jumping. This time I threw all of my straight pins (I only have it and the long pin for subweapons) and bashed her face in.

Saw a very cool scene, if you sit on the Haunted Bellhart bench and quit the game, Hornet wakes up hanging in silk like everyone else.

Silksong is the better game, I'm looking forward to almost everything in it except the rape and maybe Blasted Steps (but it's a small and straightforward area, and the boss fight is great).

Ah yes, a typical Hollow Knight story.
It's true! There's even an achievement for beating the game while pregnant with the rape baby!

Beat the Last Judge on my first attempt thanks to the lucky dice cancelling a censer hit, in fact beat everything up to the Judge except the two conchflies (didn't try) [edit: just went back after the Judge and beat them] and the second skull tyrant (didn't trigger, because it kills the little guy). Blasted Steps is ok when you don't have to learn jumping. For variety, I'm using Hunter's Crest and never changed from it except when the game made me. (Last time was mostly Reaper.)

New thing: found a shortcut from the crow area to Feeder in Sinner's Path.
New thing: played the needolin at the tip of the spire in Mosshome, the wooden sign fell off and a new ethereal sign appeared in its place (it disappears and needs to be invoked again when you leave the area, but the wooden sign stays fallen off).
New thing: a carny set up camp in the room where the straight pin used to be, offers a shooting minigame at x rosaries per attempt. (I didn't play.)

A side effect of being "good enough" is my old boss fighting tactics don't quite work because they require skill developed over many failed attempts. I couldn't stick to the wall in Hair Pick's final phase and now couldn't hit the Last Judge when she (he? it? was/were) threw the censer.

It's shocking how easier the game gets when I just know more about where things are and which fights are best left for later. Ants, scissors, and the first beastfly are ridiculously easy with the first sword upgrade. The hardest fight so far was the two Moss Mothers, it took me too long to realize adds shouldn't be prioritized. The easiest is Lace, she and Cockwork Dancers are easier than one Moss Mother.

Taking a short break for now, my finger hurts.
