I decided to look for posts from random people talking about the show, only found ‘people complaining about the show’ and ‘people complaining about other people complaining about the show’. So High Guardian Spice has pretty much been dumped like a Japanese relationship in that it's being ignored and everyone's trying to pretend it never happened. Still feel bad for Raye in being cucked out of their own creation, but should've done more research, kid. Think even when it comes to lost/cancelled media, no one's going to be willing to talk about this in passing for quite some time.

Was it ever revealed what the Korean studio was that was supposed to animate this, by any chance?

People working on stuff like this almost always have to sign non-disclosure agreements, so the crew not bringing up new info on the show isn't really a sign of cancellation.
I don't think its cancelled, but rather it will just be silently released by CR without fanfare.
