Watching some highlights and... well, it's one of the few times where she's times she's SO insufferable that it gets the best of me. I vocalized this and exclaimed "cunt" at the screen... I feel so ashamed.

Someone on Reddit in one of the Ask Reddit threads claimed to have worked on the show and said something like "I worked on production but not recruitment, they had a list of people willing to go on the show and would do so at the drop of a hat and they have also started filming with some people and dropped them because they where either too disgusting for TV in their personal habbits or couldn't stick to the plan set forth by the medical team or they tried to monitise there story in some other way" so that catches ALR on every count.
One of the UK shows on weight loss followed one guy who was 450lbs but not tall or well built and they hooked a heart rate monitor upto him for a week and released the results you could see when he walked up the stairs was a major issue for him, you could see when he walked to his car it was a major issue to him, you could even tell when his second chippy dinner for the day was getting to be a struggle for him and fishing yes fishing sent his heart rate up and all he was doing was using a 10ft pole (not a rod a pole) to catch roach and he didn't have to walk more than 20ft from the car park to the peg.
ALR has at least 100lbs on that guy, and the guy was able to hold down a job and had a social life, she hasn't got that so her life is insanely dull by anyone's standards.

She was even worse then usual. Notice how she passively aggressively puts Becky down by saying 'yaaaaaaa...i can see that' when someone said Becky treated her bad. Being your slave for 4 years just wasn't enough I guess.
I don't know why she thinks she'd be so interesting in 600 pound life. She doesn't have a good hook like the slatons (sisters, deathfat hick family, pregnancy storyline), and outside a niche group on YouTube, she's.not famous.

If she was one of the participants, she would have to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement that would preclude her from all social media as far as showing her progress. For her, it would be the loss of all income which she can't do. No wonder that it seems that most participants are on benefits.
The only U.K. show that I watched was "Fat Doctors". While it seems a bit more realistic than MSHPL, you saw only success stories and not the ones that failed. The show is no longer being produced but it was interesting nonetheless.
Still, those shows are always an invasion of privacy for purpose of entertainment, and I am not sure how Amber would cope.

Don't want to reiterate too much of what's already said here (or in the Jude thread when she was going down this route) so I will sum up:
- lol of course she doesn't have ADHD.
- while ADHD meds are "basically speed," they are in therapeutic forms and doses. It's nothing like street meth and will not give her the effects of street meth that she may or may not be looking for.
- on average, non-hormonal medication like stims or antidepressants only cause you to lose or gain about 6 pounds. That's the extent that they generally decrease or increase your appetite (again, on average). If you're already skinny, that 6 pounds can be a big deal. If you're an elephant, that's just a daily shit. It is VERY easy to outeat Ritalin when your food issues are emotional.
- also, stimulants wear off at the end of the day. They're not like SSRIs that build up over time and then stay in your system for weeks. You take your morning pill, it lasts 8-12 hours (if you're lucky) and then it fades out. Sometimes it can be fast, like someone turned out a light switch. And if you happen to be an impulsive eater, and you haven't eaten all day because you had no appetite, well, guess what impulses are going to crash down on you, right at the same time your appetite does?
- you need to prove symptoms started before the age of 12 to get an ADHD dx as an adult, at least where I live. Just throwing that out there. Report cards, other school artifacts, and testimony from parents are the ways I'm familiar with.
- not for nothing but everyone I know with ADHD has hobbies and interests that they're passionate about. Even the very fat ones. I'm sure it's not actually related, and it's more that ADHDers have little tolerance for doing things they DON'T care about, but holy hell what is Amber's passion? Staring at herself in a view finder? Buying books and not reading them, journals and not writing in them? If she was actually interested in collecting anything she wouldn't just buy all the random cheap crap she does.
Keep dodging the real diagnosis Amber: selfish, empty shell of a human disorder.

Always one upping her and mocking her anxiety and her blatantly obvious (very real) depression.
Only Fatty is allowed to be mentally ill, she's the poor traumatised dainty KuhWeen. In ALR's eyes, Becky is suuuuuuuuuuuch a drama queen and has no idea how real mental illness works.
Mental illness isn't an exclusive club like all of these self diagnosing cunts seem to think it is. It's a pretty rampant/common problem and most people just get on with it.
Whenever I see someone complaining about gate keeping mental health, I always assume they belong to that group of ''woe is me, muh mentalz''. People end up gate keeping specifically BECAUSE of people like Amber, her confusing bipolar traits/symptoms and calling everything an OCD moment is enough to get anyone mildly pissy.

tbh, i guess i kind of see it? but i don’t think it’s her. the things that make me think/know wipey is still there is of course the fire alarm stopping, the toilet flushing that somehow was ambers sink, the fact that she said “we”, and in this latest live i think it’s interesting she said she’s not as close with people as she wishes she was because she gives all her energy to whoever she likes the best, aka wipey, if she was really gone, she wouldn’t be not talking to them still she’d be hitting them up again like she didn’t completely abandon people who she calls her friends for some random internet stranger
