It lives rent free in modern western developers heads, almost everything they do is to distance themselves from the perceived "Gamer Gate" type of gamers, like the Saints Row reboot.

This is amazing, making billions off of shark cards for 3 console generations and the first actual non-DLC thing they have to release in years turns out to be a broken remaster of a game that already had a functional remaster.

That's one of the bitter ironies is when these companies make shitloads of money from something easy like that, it doesn't free them up to make riskier, more innovative games, it makes them become lazy and creatively bankrupt.

Grand Theft Auto V is the most successful thing in entertainment history and now they're putting out literal shovelware tier garbage like this remaster, stop and let that sink in.

This "remaster" is astonishingly poor. The only way I can tell it's an actual official product and not some indian/chinese bootleg on the android store is the lack of copyright infringing material and desparate attempts to mimic popular fads.

Guess Rockstar fans can’t handle criticism.

Archive at the moment is not working for me for the time being, but I suspect that videos like these are being mass downvoted because they’re smaller channels, and ignoring real constructive criticism like this in favor of listening to their favor e-celebs and YouTubers just tell them this “remastered trilogy” is good just because.

Apparently, they used a computer algorithm to upscale certain textures. That software is mistaking some letters for others. Yeah, this was half assed.

I think some textures were untouched from the PS2 version.
