It's especially ironic that furries out of all people, are the ones screeching about a dev who posted pictures of cheese pizzas on a major gaming news platform, considering all the degenerate shit they flaunt about (literal shit, diapers, vore, feral shit, and even saying that legitimate pedophiles are preferrable to some random person misgendering/deadnaming Tranny#1312), not that Kate Gray is a saint or anything.

Ya know I'll say this. The game looks like the hottest dumpster fire possible, but! I'm gonna give them points for actually having actual character animation, that's something no visual novel has done before. To my mind anyway. Also, what bugs me is them using this cliche about highschool drama again. Like, for fuck sake even NiTW was smart enough not to use THAT cliche train and just had characters simply struggle with how fucked up and unfair life was.

This is like claiming QTE are cinematic gameplay. Really these damn Points of intrestest are bland as fuck.

It be like a having a power point that says. "THE CONTROL IS YOURS! Press the revolutionary "Next" Button to move the dialogue foward."
They stuff you expect VN games to have. Music, A branching narrative(which normally just mean pick a arbitary choice, and watch how the impact it has is little to none), "stunning" art.

Nothing here is worthy of a power point to show off.

LOOK AT HE HEAD. The purple one looks like it has a misshapen tumor or the remains of their fetal twin. And "Fang" (what a creative name, not like they could've made names based off the dinosaurs they're portrayed as?) is a fucking dolphin with angel wings glued on (...Dutch angel dragon...?) and you can't change my mind.

And don't even get me started on how the perspective and angles are out to lunch, there's little to no sense of color theory...I fucking agree, they drew a rough sketch and shrugged off any obvious anatomical errors. I couldn't start any linework until I found what the hell was wrong with what I drew.

God, it makes me want to fucking redline these, how did this walking sim take two years?

When you put it that way, it reminds me of YIIK.

For those that don't remember YIIK. It was an Earthbound clone revolutionary RPG where the protagonist is an unlikable hipster cunt who is arguably an author proxy. It's story was based on a real life disappearance and has the woman that disappeared fall in love with hipster cunt. Entire passages of text copy pasted from books. The original writing was awful. After the game bombed, the dev claimed that gamers didn't want art.

I've never seen a "branching narrative game" that actually feels like you can control how a game ends and it still feels "right". I get the feeling that you won't be able to have Fang live a heteronormative life without the game telling you you're a shithead for doing so. Telltale Games only have the illusion of choice, and even Katawa Shoujo, which is well-loved in certain circles, has you fall off a roof if you don't spend time with any of the girls on the first day.
