i haven't unlocked all her voice lines yet but from what i can tell it's entirely because they're funding any research she wants to do

She builds things for the Tsaritsa and in return gets resources and funding to spend on doing whatever she wants. She also probably knows the Tsaritsa's end goal and might even agree with it, but we won't know until we get there in the story.
One of the things I'm looking forward to is seeing if Hoyo can stick the landing in 7.x regarding the Fatui and the Tsaritsa. It'll be interesting to see how they go about it.
Can't she do that in fontaine tho? Sandrone is not stupid. She knows what the fatui do. She knows they attacked other nations because they want gnosis whatever the costs. She knows that her robots are made to kill.
Even if it's that simple, it doesn't gel with other harbingers. We know that Childe was willing to risk destroying liyue, that Scaramouche tried to kill us, that Arle attacked furina for the gnosis. Even if they're cool now, there was an attempt to make them villains and "morally gray".
If the tsaritsa asks her to make a nuclear bomb, will she be surprised when it blows innocent people? Or will she love the opportunity to do it? Would she fight traveler to death if given the order? Probably not.
So sandrone (and bina) come across as kinda shallow and "pre-sanitized". They just happen to be with the harbingers due to their useful talents and don't even care that much. They're both completely good so we befriend them very fast and work together against the completely evil harbinger.
I want to see how russia goes and how they take the remaining harbingers and the tsaritsa. There is also an unironic possibility of Signora being resurrected with how much they keep teasing her (odette is related to her, we visit her grave, ronova appears etc) and capitano leaving the chair so it has potential to go be the best or worst thing ever.
(and bruh i can't kill that boss with sucrose/binefa, idk if my bina is shit or i am a fraud afterall, i cant)

You don't even need Sandrone for her shill boss, Ineffa and Escoffier kill those adds just fine even on Fearless. Flins's performance in this one was rather weak, but I only realised afterwards that no one was using the Nod-Krai support set in this team. (Also, before anyone asks why Furina? I don't have Columbina and sadly can't clone Aino. I've used Xingqiu with Flins in such a case before but noticed that with Escoffier in that team for the Cryo instead of Sucrose, Furina did a much better job than him.)
Also, I love my Kinich. Worst Natlan unit my ass. He's an absolute beast (the team is even better with Emilie but I needed Ororon to get up those pylons) and I'm sure a better player than me could get even more damage out of him.
Too bad that none of those bosses were good for Lohen though. I'm still having a blast with that little psycho.
Escofier is the real crutch for those lacking sandrone here but the boss takes increased stellar conduct dmg while shielded too.
btw you don't need ororon to climb the rock. You could've just used Kinich hookshot to go up there, the cooldown is much lower if you dont use it to attack. Might take a few tries but would've let you bring emilie.
Here I thought it was a xilonen only shill because she can climb the pillar things with her rollerskates.

Almost everyone in natlan can actually. Kinich hookshot, mualani shark sprint jump, chasca/ifa fly, ororon/citlali jumps, mavuika/kachina/xilonen climb and i believe varesa can sproing up to it. The only one who can't is iansan. But if you're farming the boss it's probably for xilonen and its made for her.
You can also use others with vertical mobility or abuse that forced ledge grab glitch but the stygian gimmick forces a natlan unit anyway.

my only downside is I haven't actually gotten to ochankanatlan (if that's how its spelled?) and doubly only just did a quest to enter nod-krai, and thusly i have 0 of the landdriver materials for sandrone
