How well can this be used for watching Sneedchat? I figured out how to use @y a t s's client and all I can do to log Sneedchat is to click the save output button in my terminal

and I get to save what is currently outputted in my terminal to a .txt file.

Sounds like you need to enable the logger in the config.json file. See the thread for details:

There are now prebuilt binaries for ease of use. I guess this marks the first proper release.
A lot of cool stuff has been added like a chat logger and read-only mode. I'm currently working on daemons.

Config is now done using a config.json file found in one of the following locations:

• Linux: ~/.config/sockchat/config.json
• macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/sockchat/config.json
• Windows: %APPDATA%/sockchat/config.json

I know my README and github wiki are very out-of-date, so this wasn't super clear.

I didn't even know about the logger. I didn't read the wiki since I wanted to see the client in action asap. Thanks for telling me.

np. I think you can even use the --log=true option when launching it from command prompt/powershell. The logs will be in a dedicated subdirectory where you find the config file.
