7 days later jeettube recommends me that bragstationer met with 史蒂夫(steve in chinkenese) to discuss stuff about the market.

The big problem is that one of the very few places LLMs actually make sense is coding, and you can't get away from using these tools at this point. I've heard qwen3.6:35b-a3b has gotten really good and on par with some of the OpenAI models, but it won't run on my 32GB AMD 9700R. Not enough VRAM!
I think you are misunderstanding something. You can run the MoE 35b model with as little as 8gb VRAM and get decent performance. It runs just fine on my 12gb and 16gb cards. If you have 32gb, you should be going one step higher to the dense 27b model, which is distinctly better.

Steam Machine Review (plus shilling his own air vent cover for it)
He'll make money off of them. These things are so underpowered and yet you know they're going to sell out. Consumer whores are tired of a market where they can't buy anything. I'm can't fault Steve for printing and selling some-product to cash in. That's literally capitalism.

I knew people years ago who had these business ideas around 3D printing as their production line. It was quite stupid considering how slow they were back then. It is interesting how bamboo has really pushed the speed on printing, although others manufacturers are catching up. I wonder if Steve has flashed the fully-offline version of the firmware that he and Rossmann re-hosted.

I hope the legacy of the Steam Friendship Cube is that some other manufacturers will start making boxes that ship SteamOS, similar how Lenovo made their own SteamOS handheld. I'd be more interested if someone like MSI or Acer made a version with the embedded equivalent of an AMD 9070 in it, even if it gets over the $2k mark. The current box I have connected to my TV is a super slim ITX system with a 3080-Ti in it from years ago and a 9th Gen Intel chip. Even with the older CPU, it can probably out preform this thing.

I know Asus have a slim box with a GPU but the price is pretty eye watering, even compared to the steam machine. Other than that I think its just the Chinese manufacturers like minisforum that make something like this. I'm hopeful others put out some stuff in a small form factor with a decent GPU because the HTPC/ living room box options are pretty limited if you want something for gaming. You have to build it yourself or get a tiny box with an APU.

Yeh, I don't care, man has to make bread somehow, let him shill.

Though I did think his steam machine videos are very softball. If it was any other manufacturer he would be a lot more critical, think he likes valve and has good contacts there so doesn't want to shit on them too much.

Where is this rumor from?

Just a random acquaintance. He does his own builds and he's not a moron, but when I asked who was making this claim, he said PC hardware channels like Gamers Nexus and Hardware Unboxed. It sounds ridiculous so I didn't bother arguing, but sometimes I'm curious about the origins of fake news.

That's weird, I have never heard Steve from GN say that kind of thing.
