I'm so sick of these "you're offside by a toe so we're disallowing the goal" incidents that VAR has introduced. Feels so overly nitpicky in a sport that's supposed to be quite loosely regulated and free-flowing. The whole point of offside is to prevent an unfair advantage, so what unfair advantage is a toe over the line giving you? Why isn't it decided by body placement as opposed to this ticky-tacky "your limb was 1mm further than it should've been!"

Whoever decided VAR needed to intervene in every goal should be dragged out into the street and shot quite frankly!

There was one VAR when they found the cuff of his shirt was offside and disallowed the goal. It's such stupid bullshit. Completely against the spirit of the rule.

I agree with the frustration of how VAR calls are handled, but what I will say is a decent proposal for a change in how VAR calls are made for offside was put forth by Wenger: if your feet are behind the defenders feet, everything else is fair game. So if your elbow is out further than them but your feet are behind theirs then it's onside. I can see the logic behind it honestly because you're always at a disadvantage no matter how you look at it if your feet are behind another's in a race, offside trap breaking maneuvers notwithstanding.

I don't understand how the powers that be can't see how VAR has frustrated football fans and has tainted the sport. It drives me nuts. From the shit offside calls, to the amount of time they take, when they use VAR as a tool to search for a reason to rule a goal out, it's maddening.
