Is it time to finally have higher hopes for Tsunoda?
As much as he's improved from his Spinoda days, I still don't think he's the long-term answer for a top RB seat, especially since he's more affiliated to Honda than he is to RB.

RB should really be looking outside the organization for a #2 driver- someone like Chuck LeSneed or the McLel Zoomer if they want a 2nd driver to compete with Max, or if they want a clear supporting driver like Checo, possibly bringing back Albon.

I mean outside of the current driver lineup (and theo) we seem to have hit another early 2000's dry spell for drivers in the feeder series. I expect the new rookies for the next few seasons to be Stoffel level making up the numbers types.

Apparently someone taught Ant and Crofty a new phrase "banker lap" as they're describing every single lap as that even if they're clearly pushing.

Track limits is a bit of a joke at this circuit. Crofty can keep going "but muh rules" about it but it doesn't make it any less of a farce.

Mercedes in P15 and 18 for the sprint. Someone will be fuming right now.
No pun intended

If they don't have any fresh softs, they'd be fucked tomorrow if it doesn't rain.
Softs are not a great race tyre here, they overheat and the left front gives up way too fast to be useful for anything but a very short stint. The sprint would have been all mediums if it wasn't wet. It'll be mediums and hards tomorrow.

Rare Haas strategy win with one of the earlier pits in the sprint to manage to hold onto some points and get fastest lap. Checo has not been as good lately, even if Hulk is better in the wet than other conditions, the shitbox of a Haas should not pass you. His qualifying has been pretty subpar lately as well in terms of the car. There’s no way Checo signs an extension with how poorly he and Max get along, this sprint reinforced that.

Maybe it is just like what is currently happening at Mercedes: new updates that favor one driver and not the other. Or Perez is just putting himself under too much pressure thinking he could fight for the title this year
