I never took FNAF that seriously. Especially with how wacky the series gets, particulary later on. And in the novels.

Like the idea of William Afton dunking a baby or a kid into a deep fryer and turning them into food fits more into a cartoon. Spongebob did a joke kind of like that early really on. I originally found him from his earlier cancelled stuff. I saw he had a lot of potential so I kept an eye on him until the uh...fighter jet scene, which took me out of it. Then I get recommended a video of his a while later (the medical imagining one) and hot damn he really did improve a lot. Daggz seems to be extra spicy lately. Along with his friends. Since they have been a lot more open and happy that certain people and people that support those individuals get murdered a lot.
