With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

  • 2 Stars — Pretty bad. Some funny moments, dragged, too many vibe repair days. Barely worth checking.

He needs to be taught to pause more to invite people to ask questions. If he's going the academic route I hope he improves, some lecturers just go on and on and on and they're the worst.
 
Landon and Dumbgay talked about talking in blind spots. Bashir Landon and Vimp are talking on the stairs in a whisper. I think they are either planning something or are aware this might possibly be a huge bit to trick them.

Also, right after they announced an early night and dismissed Vance they put Director Mode into Autopilot. James and Twins are the only ones that actually went to bed while everybody else tried to figure out what production was up to, but Twins got spooked after Jet gave them the "no whisper tax tonight" thing. Landon gave James his support for some nebulous purpose and said he was going to go get drunk since he can't scare Burt anymore. I almost believe them
 
For anyone curious Bashir is teaching vimp how to pray now. They are currently (as im typing this) doing ritual purification before prayer. If anyone is dumb enough to care like I do follow along! They are in goo room atm
 
I don't want to be a complete bitch about Jet and Ben so during these times of relaxation I will say something nice about them. Each season they are good at improv and have improved every single season. I thought that was it after season 2 but "Season 2.5/Bloodgames" restored my excitement in Fishtank as a project. Bloodgames was also a lot of trial and error that they learned from on the fly and it led to a much improved director cam that's carried on.
As grating as Alex B was, his entrance and exit were amazing this season and I've had to fill out a Burt apology form, his containment in the Goo Room and absurd introduction this season was hilarious and it's hilarious how he still hasn't made any goo.
