Some forms of Gnostic faith distinguish Yahweh and Elohim as two separate entities, one of which is the Demiurge/Creator/Evil, one of which is God/Father of Christ/Good. Most translations of the bible distinguish these two names as LORD or Adonai for Yahweh, and God for Elohim.
It's also very similar to Scientology, to the point where Scientology is probably ripped off of it.
The Holy Bible was made canon by the Catholics specifically to stop the spread of Gnosticism, which is probably part of why Jon considers them evil.
