Tied between Chrono Trigger and Earthbound.

Oh yeah, Clock Tower was great. It had one of the best horror theme songs ever! I never played it as a kid...not that I would have had the guts to anyway...but I got to experience it years later via emu. I never beat it. It is so much easier with a mouse, but that takes away some of the intensity. If you've played it, you know what I mean.

Chrono Trigger by far. I borrowed it off a childhood friend right when it'd come out and I don't think I gave it back to him for 3 years. I spent god knows how many hours playing it with NG+, Rainbow Sword and trying to get every single ending I could (including the Dev ending where you talk to the staff.)
