I've been looking for good 4th of July games to play, and Fallout 3 is actually one of the contenders. Good amount of American influences everywhere, patriotic tunes on The Enclave Radio, you literally get to explore a lot of the most famous monuments, there is a ton of historical artifacts as playable items(Lincoln's Repeater) and generally, the game drips of that unique Fallout flavor of Americana you can't get anywhere else. Before Broken Steel, the game even ends on a giant robot called "Liberty Prime" spouting pro-American propaganda as he bombed the shit out of mooks, you can't get more patriotic than this. Might give replaying the game a go at some point, hell I might even fire up the original without TTW.
Not that anyone here cares, since this thread is apparently full of redditors who keep posting offtopic garbage(which is only slightly better than the awful tourist takes from people who know nothing about this franchise). Wasted effort to discuss anything of value with anyone here, which is why I will probably discuss this topic elsewhere if it strikes my fancy.

It is on this two hundred and fiftieth birthday of the US of A that i remind you that the Enclave was right, actually.

I'm not sure I'd go that far. You know who was indisputably right? The Sneedclave.

Oh no, that's not to say they didn't make mistakes- their handling of Arroyo's Residents and Vault 13's population during the testing of both the Curling-13 FEV and its Immunization could have used some work, among other things- but they were largely in the right. "hey americans, we're working on this thing to kill every mutant, ever, but we need to make sure it doesn't kill humans too, would you like to help" might have been a decent start.
The Master's war was hardly out of generational memory even for tribals, ferals and mutant wildlife were everywhere, super mutants both new and old kept crawling out of the woodworks...
If they got the immunization down right and maybe- they could have mutated too far for it to work, the experiments never really came to a conclusion- distributed the vaccine to populations they knew of that weren't writhing masses of tumorous flesh or rotting corpses... who knows? Good end. Maybe.

On the topic of the original Frontier shitshow, yeah, Zu was a shitbag and deserved flak being turned into it by a woodchipper would be a decent start, but the dev team really tried to pin everything on him. The UI vector artist.
They really were just exceptional people. Especially since they're still fucking trying five years later- both to make their special snowflake mod, and to keep it pinned on those ejected from the team.

A Jewish version of Bonnie? from FNAF being encouraged by Ashley Graves (goonerbait character) from The Coffin of Andy and LeyLey (an edgy visual novel)
I would really like to hear the story about that
30+ is not a gooner btw, just ask him yourself
That's not Bonnie. It's a fan character from like a decade ago, I think its name is Candy. No clue what the through line could possibly be besides gooning.

And that's a good thing, this is what the nu-Fallout fanbase deserves. Real fans are going to do what they always did, create their own content and ignore the absolute state of the tourism going on since the days of Fallout 3.
But fallout 4 is the best game of the series. It is the natural culmination of all the main storylines.

People talk about games being unfinished nowadays but MGSV was literally a third of a game sold for $60, it didn't even have an ending.
and yet its better than most games that are released these days

Why do you always need to talk like a fucking faggot
