4:10 That's not how distributors work. Like holy shit it's so blatantly wrong implying that Diamond was the one packaging board games? Just no.
4:30 Well that's not a distributor now is it?
6:00 brexit complaint faggotry
11:40 Brings up college textbooks, which is a massive fucking scam by itself for a huge variety of reasons outside of the normal book sales model(professors requiring their own books for their classes, regularly updated versions with only minor formatting changes to force students to not buy used, etc.).
13:00 The current administration gives zero fucks about board games
13:30 Preordering games is fucking retarded and no one should be doing it. Crowdfunding games is even more of a fucking gamble as the game may not even end up existing, let alone just being bad. Nevermind the fact that especially with tabletop games, there are plenty of instances of a crowdfunded game that is completed, ships on time and... then never exists again.
13:45 more politsperging. Most people in government barely know anything about boardgames beyond Monopoly and chutes & ladders, they don't fucking care.
14:20 Isn't time to tear publishers down or call them out for being greedy? So yeah that crowdfunding shit? Just look up how CMON is doing, still needing to fulfill 8+ kickstarters after selling off their biggest IP and then not having any funding after laying off the devs needed to make the games they held kickstarter campaigns for? Yeah...

And that's not even accounting for their just in time manufacturing comments, as if most board games you find in a store besides Walmart and Target aren't continually produced, they're done in batches. There's no constant Root or Scythe assembly-line.

Remember when they were mad at Call of Juarez The Cartel because it was some generic shooter and not some informative piece on the drug war in Mexico?

I remember that video. I looked more into Call of Juarez: The Cartel. Techland wanted to "modernize" the Wild West genre into modern times with the War on Drugs. Frankly, it did poorly according to fans, critics and sales because of its uninspired plot, unsympathetic characters and clunky, buggy gameplay.

Games don't always have or need to be informative pieces on political topics. That's the least of the game's obvious flaws. I do want to agree with his points on how The Cartel's premise and design dehumanizes demographics. Now, think of many games out now that dehumanize white people for political correctness and propaganda. Call of Duty: Vanguard is a perfect example of how it takes WWII and regresses it into a Marvel adventure.
