From what I know and what came out in the whole Jacklyn 5150 Situation, Her mother constantly tells her "You're fine, You dont Need help." and if that doesnt sound like enabling i dont know what does.

I agree that it is far too late to attempt another recovery. all it would do is prolong her suffering. 30 something years old, living with your parents your whole life locked away in a pink room full of stuffed animals. I suppose its not the worst way to die, but what a waste.

I just think of those strange interactions between those 2 and the way her mother continuously tells the audience, that Eugenia is fine and healthy, when its obvious shes not all while making her do things, that showcase how scary skinny she is. The gardening and the beach vids comes to mind. If shes not orchestrating that content, shes enabling it.

I guess what I mean is that her mom didn't just consciously decide one day to enable her daughter. She's seriously fucked up in her own way and probably not capable of seeing that there's a problem. Her mom didn't wake up one day thinking, "Oh, well, Eugenia is skeletal and refusing to eat, but whatever. She'd ask for help if she wanted it, so fuck it. Hey, I wonder what's on the boob tube." Eugenia's illness itself is a symptom of a deeply dysfunctional family.

People who are familiar with 12 step addiction recovery programs will probably be familiar with the saying, you're only as sick as your secrets. For someone to get as sick as Eugenia is, there have to be a lot of horrifying family secrets that most outsiders will never be aware of. She's not the only dysfunctional, sick member of her family. None of them have the insight to recognize that there is something seriously wrong.

I'm not absolving her mother or anyone else of responsibility for the role they've played here. Eugenia didn't just become this way overnight. I also think that it's possible that one or both of her parents realizes on some level that if Eugenia is really sick, there might be something amiss with all of them, so it feels safer not to even acknowledge it. Seeking treatment for Eugenia's illness would likely have meant that all of the members of the family had to work through some serious, difficult, painful issues, both individually and together. That's hard work, and a lot of people aren't capable of doing it. Instead, they just act like everything is fine until they sort of become convinced that maybe, if they squint at it the right way under the proper lighting, it really is fine, and if it's not, maybe it's not actually that bad, and it'll go away by itself.

I love this video, it's so much better than the normal videos we see about Eugenia where they are just like "WOW SHES SO SKINNY GUYS SHES GUNNA DIE PROBABLY IF ONLY WE COULD DO SOMETHING ANYWAY LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE". None of this matters, anyway, because she's long past the point of being helped. At best, involuntary treatment will buy her a few weeks or months, but ultimately, it's futile torture no different than forcing a patient with terminal cancer to continue chemotherapy. She's not going to recover, and now is absolutely not the time to attempt heroic measures. The compassionate choice would be to make her comfortable and allow her to die naturally. If there's anything she feels she needs or wants to do before she dies, now is the time to do it, when she's feeling relatively well and still able to participate meaningfully. Instead, though, she's going to spend the remainder of her life in a hospital, separated from her loved ones, being tortured with no realistic possibility of benefit.

It's very sad to accept that a person is too sick to ever get better, especially when that person is so young, but sometimes life is very sad. We don't always receive the happy ending we hoped for, but the least her family could give her now is the dignity of a soft landing.

I've heard of hospice for anorexics but I don't think her family will have the grace to do that.

It has been  enthralling reading reactions to the crisis team saga. Da redditzzz has been a rollercoaster: people holding their breath hoping she's committed; turbosperging about CT's involuntary commitment procedure; arguing about "muh pr00f" courts are involved; slapping together a megathread on what the fuck ??? is happening. Then the whiplash of the aftermath: people expressing grief; expressing hope for the purported next visit of the crisis team; outright denial the crisis team ever came; conspiracy that it was a publicity stunt;  rage.

Seeing the despair specifically and people claiming to have "given up" hope—or given up on UwUgie completely—has been surprising. Although, it likely shouldn't be a surprise; the nature of Ewgie's following is incredibly parasocial. It reminds me of the time Eugenia's twitch chat (from 24 Jan 2023) was left on after her live ended; her fans were crying about, psychoanalyizing/projecting upon, and wanting help for their dying influencer.

I likely don't  want to wrap my head around the fact people claim to cry over Eugenia and the crisis team not comitting her. These people need to take Eugenia as a hospice case. TMI but the thought of Ewgie getting sectioned again gave me a visceral reaction; there's body horror in her going through another refeeding and relapse cycle. It reminded me of the story Dorian, "Of Spergs and All-Tards," told of her (his? its?) friend who died yo-yoing from high to low weights; the friend supposedly looked just as sick at high weights as she did at low weights. Extreme weight fluctuations wreck havoc on your body; I can imagine sectioning Ewwgeeee only for her to die halfway to the bottom on her next relapse.

Putting Eugenia through refeeding sounds like giving an IV to a bedrest hospice patient: watching them drown when the fluid you gave them pools in their lungs. Eugenia likely won't be able to handle the help her parasocial fans want to give her.

The video where she reviews the video of Eugenia with her dog has a more telling part in it, imo.

Someone pointed out that Eugenia might have other EDs alongside the anorexia, and the streamer brought up a clip of Eugenia suddenly gagging out of nowhere, and looking really nervous. She explained that, if you purge, your body learns that it can't just keep things down, and it's a reflex that'll happen. It's around 1:10:00

But these are really good, even if most of Eugenia's videos are her body checking.

Unfortunately, you can’t just check yourself into a hospice, not that Eugenia would. You need a doctor to state that you have six months left to live. Hospice is 99% home-based where one is provided nursing care, equipment and pain meds. (Some of this may vary by state and insurance.).a doctor would sign off but Eugenia wouldn't ask.

Eugenia doesn’t want nurses and probably thinks pain meds make her fat. She really doesn’t need or want anybody to make her comfortable, and by the time she realizes it’s necessary, it’d be too late to set it up as she’d probably just have days. She’ll probably just get weaker and sleep more and stop streaming, and she has a nice room with lots of blankets and where she can probably turn the heat to 80-she will lapse into coma and die. (Wild guess.).

Eugenia has what she wants: Mom to take her pictures and videos, packages of Moschino children’s clothes arriving at the door regularly along with the newest trendy palette, and nobody begging her to eat except her viewers, which she doesn’t care about. She’ll die as happy as a person can, I suppose.

@Thomas Eugene Paris was right on the money. Watching Deb being unable to handle her towels not being white was an eye opener. This is a woman who doesn’t know how to do much either and so fobbed her autistic son off into a care home and threw up her hands at her anorexic daughter’s behavior and decided it was fine. There are a lot of dysfunctional and not very bright humans out there who just are incapable of understanding or facing problems. It’s not deliberate, it’s just low IQ mixed with passivity. Never attribute to malice what you can to stupidity.

I so far have only watched that one anorexic girl’s video take on Eugenia, but I plan to watch others as the first was enlightening, especially about the body checking and ignoring everything else but what she sees in the viewfinder. If Eugenia is also purging, it could explain why Deb thinks she eats. She may have a bite now and then and throw it up and their house is so big Deb doesn’t know.

I think it would be easier for Eugenia to get on hospice than you might think. Consider how many people in this thread, not to mention online in general, take one look at her and uncontrollably go "She's about to drop dead!"

It's not like they need a contract signed in blood that you're going to die within six months. Just from looking at her, people think she could drop dead at any moment. I don't think it would be hard for a doctor to say she has a life-limiting condition and qualifies for hospice, especially if she has some sort of fall/episode and gets testing done that reveals the extent of the damage, like horrible liver or heart function. They just keep extending it unless you actually recover or want to seek curative treatment, which c'mon.

In many places, certain hospice services are also slightly predatory to outright predatory. Think about it. If everyone died immediately, they wouldn't have any hospice patients. So (if you're a corrupt hospice) they have an incentive to actually take on people that will live as long as possible, and an incentive to say that any and all conditions are life-limiting so that people qualify, so they can get paid.

However as a counterpoint, I know a lot of people that hate hospice and think they are predatory due to their experiences. For instance, their spouse with cancer was offered hospice at one point, but instead made a remission. Since with hospice you cease curative treatment, they would have died had the family chosen hospice. Or just in general, hospice = "they're dying for real???" and so being offered it can be a shock to some.

However like @Barbarella explained (loved that movie BTW), it's never seemed like Eugenia was the sort of anorexic that enjoys medical attention/has munchie tendencies, nor is medically monitored for the honest sake of health/making any attempt at recovery. She's more, "I'm just naturally skinny!" and "My mom says I'm fine, and she says she'll literally die of a heart attack if I go to rehab!"

It's way more likely she'll just keep going until she becomes very ill suddenly and then either dies at home, or dies soon after going into a hospital. Either way I predict she'll be too low-energy to stream for weeks to months to even years prior to this, so don't get your hopes up, anyone who's hoping she dies on stream and we get a giant media shitshow over it.


TLDR: hospice not likely because no one involved wants it. But if she wanted onto it, I think she could, just like how Lich Queen Ash is clearly in some sort of home health or hospice or nursing home situation.

Cooney is truly a bizarre case because at heart she is one of the few cows that is probably a good person. I have been following her since 18 and have never seen her express a single ounce of malice not even to Jaclyn.

it's sad because whilst most people can be helped with the right care plan, especially Eugenia, her family is loaded. Eugenia's external factors are what truly prevent her from any kind of improvement. The mother is fucking insane and my theory is Eugenia has some form of autism and was bullied in school and "kinda" developed her ED then but it started properly when she modeling. Now I believe Debs is a munchy and has been. Munchies always want control and Eugenia developed her ED because of Debbie because she wanted some agency in her life. She will never heal being under that house as the mother lives through Eugenia because her husband pays no attention to her. Chip is very disabled and Eugenia is a focal point for her behaviors there.

The real struggle is Eugenia's aftercare as refeeding could kill her and is highly possible due to the sheer damage her body has taken. She would need constant care to monitor her and try to help at least get the cause of her illness. The problem is Eugenia's health is incredibly rare most people in medical treatment are in a better position.

The community of doo-gooders that try to help her a detrimental as they enable her illness. Jaclyn was an attention-seeking cunt and honestly signed her death warrant because the amount of mental trauma she put upon her sent her into solitude. It probably made Debbie worse too. These new cockroaches are fucking disgusting and I honestly hope they die, the world would be better off without their constant need for unoriginal thought and attention.

You should think of Eugenia as 2 people a side raptured by her ED and loving attention. this is not true for her but for her mental illness. She in this frame of mind neither has expressed malice. The other side is honestly just an autistic trait young woman who likes fashion. This is why Anorexia Nervosa is so brutal because it destroys any personal semblance you have and makes you a shell.

As for Rich Lux, I say this and I think it mirrors most people's thoughts, kill yourself. You are a leech with absolutely no interest in the mental health of this woman or even her as a person.
