The whole Epstein thing has been completely ruined. It used to be your typical edgy conspiracy that only the cool weirdos and people into deep shit like reptilians and UFOs discussed. Now (primarily due to shitflinging over orange man) like so many other things its transformed into mainstreamed politicized garbage. It used to be something that only the mysterious pot smoking mystery youtuber and that crazy guy on the Child Eating Elites thread babbled about. Now your friend babbles about it and your neighbor and your mom and your grandma. And the phone salesman and the middle aged ladies book club.

99% of the time they're not even talking about it they're just hurling it as an accusation against someone or some group or some concept that they hate. This politician is bad cuz Epstein, that politician is bad cuz Epstein. Left is bad cuz Epstein, Right is bad cuz Epstein. Progressive tax is wrong cuz Epstein, Flat tax is wrong cuz Epstein. This action is a distraction from Epstein. That action is a distraction from Epstein. You didn't release the files cuz Epstein, you released the files cuz Epstein. Dozens of times a day I hear someone screeching about Epstein and they never actually care about what actually happened. They just want to use it for whatever political tribalism.

If you want proof how nonsense things have gotten its now extremely popular among Redditors. If I have to hear another redditor talk about Epstein this or that. I am going to freak.

Epstein now is almost completely an NPC meme. That reveals more about society in general than what a rich dude did on an island. If you are screeching about Epstein 99% chance you are an NPC. The cool thing to do now is to say STFU I don't give a shit. If some idiot brings it up on a likely completely unrelated topic. Its plain as day Epstein pulled this stunt of writing down every famous name to cause chaos if he got taken down and still dumb people are falling for his shit and giving him exactly what he wanted beyond his wildest dreams. And none of these freaks care who is actually guilty anyway. So lets just make sure LEO goes through whatever evidence actually exists and punishes the people where theres actually evidence that commited crimes. (Hint: Its a very small group) Otherwise I guess you can continue to follow the wishes of an actual p*do and continue to feed into the mania if you think thats the right thing to do.

Yes its happened, its so uncool now. The measured logical thing to do is now hip.

I went to a comedy show and my issue is that it’s the new “Catholic priests are child molestors”. It’s low hanging and rather they anything actually funny it’s “Trump was friends with Epstein”.
 
I'm happy its normie now. Those of us who know how the whole thing works know the political sphere won't prosecute its own or its donors. So justice was never going to happen.... however.

The only bad thing about Epstein becoming normalized is that it means the media has absolutely no real fear about normies being in the know about it; same thing in 2019 when they kept talking about how didn't kill himself. Most people are treating the statutory rape (and possibly actual assault of, I don't know, I don't keep up with it) of teenage girls as a gotcha in their game of political sportsball. At the same time, a lot of Rightists keep rationalizing it away or have shifted.

For me this was one of the decisive factors in me giving up on Trump. The gaslighting about Epstein being no big deal. The redactions. I don't know what he did personally but he's chosen to side with diddlers, so as far as I'm concerned he can get the guillotine when all is done.

Because if you did, you'd realize most mentions of famous people are emails from hollywood press and such, in other words spam mail that he received.

Not a day goes by without Youtube recommending to me yet another clickbait video about the latest Epstein hearsay.

I guess since they now can't cover up a massive scandal with global implications, they're now trying to do damage control by turning discussion of it into unconfirmed tabloid gossip, and hoping the public will get sick of it.
