Each of this points was a benefit for nobody but youtube grifters that didn't even need to make shit up, just present each episode as they were, laugh and earn far more views than the real thing.
And the funniedt thing about all of this is that he genuinely believed that nobody would call his work shit, otherwise they'd be labeled as racist, mysogenistic, homophobic and transphobic.
There are a few people saying to give it a break for various lengths of time (not just the guy above) and I don't understand why?
It's not like superhero fatigue where people are sick of seeing the show because there's been so much of it and/or long running arcs have come to a nice spot to stop with it. There's not a huge amount of competition in the niche right now that it just can't compete with its smaller budget. They've said they're putting it out to tender so it's (hopefully) out of the hands of the people that have run it into the ground.
If anything, people have been waiting years for good Doctor Who. It's not like giving it a break to boost curiosity when it comes back will help it if it's just more of what they've been doing.
I say: no break, take it back to cheap episodes made in a week, get some new actors, crew and writers some experience.
Like most series of today, what these trainwreck needs is the Dragon Ball treatment: Cut down the seasons that were shit, pretend they never happened and make a new sequel from that.

Uh, what? Doctor Who is exactly like this. Hell Doctor Who was originally supposed to end once the Doctor regenerated 13 times and they've already hit that point. If anything permanently putting Doctor Who in the ground might inspire the UK to actually start coming up with good, new science-fiction series instead of using Who as a crutch for decades as they have done.
The script went through over a dozen revisions. The BBC doesn't actually own the rights to the Daleks and they had to work with the estate of Terry Nation to get the rights to use in the first place which contributed to a lot of the rewrites. So there are a good couple of them which don't even have the Dalek as the central character.

I had a weird dream the other night that I was at some kind of party and looked across the room and Roger Delgado was there. I pointed this out to someone and they didn't believe it (because duh he's dead).
I still wonder if there was a single iota of thought put into piper returning beyond nostalgia bait. I know Nigger man quit at the last minute so they needed to throw in something but man is it nonsense.
My interpretation is that it had to be done at very short notice, like literally the last 2 months. Episodes of the final season had already started airing when RTD decided that it needed a Post-regeneration cliffhanger. That ruled out going through the proper casting process, which would take too long. It had to be someone who owed him a personal favour and that someone was Billie Piper.
Dalek is my personal favorite of his, the Doctor genuinely losing his shit at the sight of his old enemy and the Dalek killing itself once it realized it was no longer a pure Dalek was just masterful and perfectly encapsulated each side of the Time War.
Dalek was one of the best things to come out of New Who. So I can only ever criticise it with a heavy heart.
The way that Rose pleads with the Doctor to spare the life of the titular enemy, and this is portrayed as a good thing, kinda rubs me the wrong way. I've seen so many variations of this trope (Kurzman Trek is a frequent offender for this), where the male character tries to solve a problem with common sense and/or violence, but the plucky heroine has an a rare intuition for something she couldn't have possibly known was going to work. And it works because the plot needs in to work. The male gets taken down a peg, and the audience learns a lesson about listening to women. In this case, there was no way in hell for her to know the Dalek would show mercy when it finally saw sunlight, just because it had questioned itself while keeping Rose captive. If the show depicted it as Stockholm syndrome from her captivity, then I could understand. But instead, it's treated as part of the Doctor's recovering from his violent past. I agree that the Doctor needed to go through this, but there are better ways to do it that by having him show mercy to the thing that was, until 5 minutes ago, trying to kill every human and him.
There's a theory (not original to me) that at the end of Trial of a Time Lord in 1986 (Colin Baker's last story) The Doctor did not escape The Matrix. If you watch the last two episodes (sometimes called The Ultimate Foe), there's at least one fake out where it looks like The Doctor is out of The Matrix and back in The Trial Room, but it's really an illusion in The Matrix. The traditional interpretation of the final episode is that shit blows up and stuff and The Doctor escapes The Matrix and then flies off in the TARDIS with a future version of Mel he hasn't met yet, which obviously makes no sense. It makes more sense if it was another illusion within The Matrix, and so has everything in the program since.
A continuation of the program under that premise could retcon so much nonsense and start with The Doctor escaping The Matrix. Literally everything in NuWho is just a Matrix illusion. It would retcon The Timeless Children and so much more. Remember Moffet's first season with Matt Smith when he resolved the series arc by having Ginger "reboot the universe" by remembering The Doctor? Does that seriously sound like an actual plot resolution or a Matrix illusion. Or when Bill saved the Earth by remembering her mother or something? Father's Day was a good episode, but since when are flying lizards eating time when something gets changed? Crazy things happen in The Matrix. Go back and watch Deadly Assassin and the end of Trial if you don't believe me. It's Clown World before Clown World was a thing.
I have good things I could say about McCoy through Capaldi, with Eccleston and Capaldi being the obvious standouts. But nothing has made sense in the show for a long time, even before Chinballs and Full ReTarD2. And they don't get thrown out. They were just Matrix Doctors. Kind of count, kind of don't. But with no impact on the story if The Doctor ever escapes The Matrix.
But it's such a serious change in canon that it's worth noting at least one thing that gets thrown out for each of these Doctors.
McCoy: Fenric was not really defeated by some Russian's faith in Communism. (Hi, Cartmel!)
McGann: Didn't really kiss that girl. Plus, not really half human.
Ecclestone: Didn't really kiss Captain Jack. Plus, didn't really suck up to the welfare state at the end of The Doctor Dances.
Tennant: Didn't really make a genetic daughter with Peter Davison called Jenny (Genny?) that he later married and had trans kids with.
Smith: Didn't marry Ginger's Time Daughter.
Capaldi: Didn't defeat "capitalism" in Oxygen even though he can never look at anything ever again because he's STILL BLIND. (But he can keep the sunglasses.)
I don't even have to justify the later "Doctors" but I feel compelled add:

Actually, while I'm at it, Colin didn't bump his head on the exercise bike and regenerate. And he didn't really say, "carrot juice, carrot juice, carrot juice."

I get your point, you're right, but man that episode is what got me hooked.
MAN, if we just had more of the Ninth Doctor imagine the magic Eccleston could have worked. I love the Tenth, he's iconic, but Eccleston was just so good at playing the man who destroyed multiple species in a war humans cannot even begin to understand.
Sidenote, my genuine unpopular opinion is that the Tenth Doctor's episodes with The Master was peak. I don't care what people say, how that story showed The Master and The Doctor's relationship as the last two Time Lords was absolutely mint.
Fuck, I need to rewatch the series again my nostalgia's kicking up.
