I've never understood why the term doxxed was used for people who publicly gave the info out. If they put their address on their social media and someone shares it that to me is not doxxing.

It's just an excuse to shift accountability. The County Tax Registrar does far more [insert faggot term for posting public information] than any farmer but there's no problem with that. The current redefining of the term is literally designed to make people think the info was hacked or stolen.
I would also argue Null posting this thread does far more to imply criminal intent than continuing to use an old term correctly. It's akin to a drug dealer speaking in code to avoid drawing attention to his drug dealing. He is clear in condoning the behavior itself, just don't call a spade a spade.

For those that believe this will make a difference, why not change the name of the site? Take the Saul Alinsky approach and pick a name that actively refutes the claims being made against you. Changing our name to "The Anti-Harassment Good Boy Zone," will really throw our opposition off.
