When cats do that and eat the hand I call it the Felis Hand Trap since they essentially close around the hand just like a venus fly trap.

My three cats, all varying degrees of retard but I love them anyways. The first two were strays that showed up at my house when I first moved in

Fleece licking? One of my cats does that, each time he gets the fibers wrapped around his tongue papillae and he stretches his tongue out quite far before it releases. He does it over and over again. He's a little different.

Calicos are indeed impacted by the ginger gene and it's inherent neuropsychiatric properties. It seems to be dose dependent.

Calico goobers are vanilla milk cats with some dark chocolate and some toasted caramel. The caramel is directly related to the ginger goobers; and the ginger gave them their 1 brain cells in return. The vanilla aspect of Tora's not here; only the ginger fuel and some tortie sass makes her a scary goober. Scary cat. But once she hears my footstep, scary goober asks me for pets on the neck and close to the tummy by meowing gently or loudly. Some time she loves the pets that much, this miniature tiger will give zoomies and love bites. Zoomies everywhere, and she's also good with my poodle.
She scary. Very silly. Scary. And squishable. I love my weirdo domestic shorthair, after I lost my first tabby from FIP. I still miss Taihou after his unfortunate death at the age of 1. Sweetest boy I've ever have, calm, loves people, playful, and somehow likes water more than other cats does

So are calicos zoomy derps on average? Our calico Bethany wasn't, and I don't think it was because of her birth defected hip, she was just a chill, motherly lumpcat.

I think the lumpcat gene can override some of the ginger gene effects, it all depends on how strong it is.
I like lumpcats. Some of my favorite cats in life have been lumpcats.

While not her owner intrinsically, I provide her with food, water, petting and even a bed when she comes by to my home. 
Oh, and I play with her with rubber bands (her favorite toy, for some reason)

This is the only way Minerva will sleep, belly up. In her cat bed, on blankets, on the couch, right in the middle of the room on the floor, always belly up and legs all over the place. Luckily she loves belly pats.

My dude has an absolutely wicked abscess about the size of a silver dollar on his hip. I feel so bad for him. I noticed yesterday that he was licking near his ass, which is unusual for him, and he started making this horrible grunting sound which was REALLY worrying because he never talks. I took a look and saw a huge, bloody, pus oozing sore. Rushed him to the vet and had $1,000 worth of work done (antibiotic shots, x-rays, blood work, etc.). They shaved the area around the sore and it's pretty heinous. I'd get a picture of it but I don't want to disturb him.
They sent him home with a cone and it didn't go well. It was a tough night. Today we went and got some sedative pills from the vet which helped him calm down and get to sleep.
Still not entirely sure what happened. He's indoor/outdoor and we did spot a pretty mangy looking feral cat at the back end of our property a few weeks ago, so it's possible they got into a scrap and the wound got infected. But I never noticed any sign of that, and the feral would have had to come a pretty long way to encounter him. Plus it's winter so he's rarely going outside, and when he does he never strays far from the building. It's the only thing we can come up with though. Going to have to put a trap out to get rid of the feral regardless, but this makes it more urgent.
Dude's had a tough life. We took him in when he was ~3 years old, and a year prior to that he had something heavy fall on him which resulted in him needing to have his tail amputated. It also broke his pelvis which never healed quite right, so he walks a little funny. Absolutely the chillest cat I've ever met, though. If a stranger comes up to him he'll immediately roll over onto his back and ask for belly rubs. Groups of kids can come up and poke and prod at him and he just sits there and takes it. He'll respond to his name like a dog and follow you if you ask him. Love my boy.
