It's simple. God made man out of the dirt. The dirt belonged to God, so man therefore belongs to God.

God made woman out of Adam's rib while he was sleeping. Since the rib belonged to Adam, women technically belong to men. It was his body his choice, God illegally reproduced with Adam without Adam's consent.
