I think Chris Sanders is still under contract to voice Stitch, but if he had happened to turn it down over it being live-action, more power to him.

Look at this and tell me it doesn't look like shit. Say what you will about Avatar 2 (and there is a lot to say), but it doesn't look like shit. There is a clear difference between CG that has clear effort and purpose, and whatever the fuck Disney has been shitting out for the last 5+ years.

The colors in this movie are absolutely awful! So dark and bleak. They couldn't even give Ariel red hair ffs!

It was all of the aesthetic choice. It doesn't have to be bright crimson. However thanks to the popularity of the rapper "Ice Spice" we're going to be seeing a lot of ginger blacks.The colors in this movie are absolutely awful! So dark and bleak. They couldn't even give Ariel red hair ffs!

The comments section also had people making jokes referencing random quotes and other quotes from different movies that had nothing to do with the Little Mermaid, and that managed to get more likes than the actual movie trailer
More proof that astroturfing with a forced agenda will not work on normal people that are not terminally online forcing other people to watch clear agitprop on display, even if it is for the “sake of children”.

This is just a way of getting around censorship and accusations of "trolling" by simply displaying the apathy that's required to make up scenes or reference scenes from better movies in order to mock a boring and terrible looking product.

Honestly if they wanted to make Ariel black, couldn't they have casted someone who doesn't look like they have fish eyes. But I really dislike the aesthetic about the movie, and as an avid Avatar 2 hater, I can even admit that has some better looking water effects.

I can already hear the sneeding of the perpetually online when the inevitable deep-faked version of this movie drops restoring Ariel to a snow-white redhead. Bonus points if AI is also used to improve the VFXs.
Seriously CGI of these live action remakes just looks off. Even the guys at Corridor Crew threw shade at Disney's live-action remake of Pinocchio for looking rushed.

How generic. That is really all I can say about this shit from visuals to premise. Pixar are really no better than Illumination at this point.
