Sounds more to me like your place merged with a twisted CWC-esque version of Silent Hill. Quick, find a weapon and get somewhere safe before you start hearing air-raid sirens that scream "JULAAAAYY!!!" - godbear knows what badly drawn hellbeasts you might encounter there.

I'm still alive and unmerged, England is still a shithole but that could only be because the merge hasn't reached the UK yet. It is only a matter of time now...
