Depression

I know there are a few threads talking about suicide but I want to go deeper into the topic of depression since it just more than having the urge to kill yourself sometimes. Depression comes in many different ways and it's not fun at all.

I been stuggleing with depression for about 4 years and I finally been diagnosed and will be receiving therapy soon. I been stuggleing with thoughts of suside, self harm, and generally taking care of myself.

This thread is for talking about experiences with depression, ways to help cope with it, or about other people you know who suffers from it.

Depression is one of the biggest bitches in my life. It's been going on and off for the past few years, and the thing that set it off was a traumatic physical assault I received in the 8th grade. It was disturbing enough to the point where I attempted suicide by putting my head under a sink spout. I had to drop out a month early that year due to the emotional pain I had from that experience.

Another thing that contributes to my depression is my epilepsy. I'm 19 years old and I've never been behind the driver's seat because of my seizures. Just when I think I've outgrown them, I suffer another one and feel screwed.

Depression sucks fat, hairy, throbbing balls.

One thing that really helped me was playing a game called depression quest. It practically saved my life.

I can't say that a depression is suitable for the Deep Thoughts thread, there would be too much powerlevelling for my taste.
