3. Gunn will realize he is cooked then "Quit" because "MUH DRUMPH" and run back to Marvel and make GOTG 4 which will cost 500 Million Dollars and make 25 Million opening weekend.
Marvel Studios is going through its own shitshow right now and Feige’s fate depends on the performance of Doomsday and Secret Wars.

Oh let me rethink my guess.

Gun will run back to Marvel after Doomsday and Secret Wars utterly shit the bed and take Feige's position...then start the MCU soft Reboot with X-Force, which is GOTG..but with X-men and worse..and costs 600 Million Dollars and make 30 Million on Opening weekend.

Being a DC fan feels like being trapped in a time loop. Even the live action side hasn't escaped the curse of endless reboots.

Nothing ever ends gracefully or logically. Things always go terribly bad one way or another, and someone has to press the reset button. Rinse and repeat forever.

Whether its a comic run, a movie, a TV show, etc., it's always some guy who takes a look at a successful product, thinks "I can make it better!", and then the next one ends up being worse.

You think you have it bad imagine being like me and while not liking every movie still being invested in the overall story of the DCEU and having it just stop on a giant cliffhanger.

Being a DC fan is the worst right now.

i love multi billion dollar companies lighting themselves on fire out of retardation and inability to admit they are at fault

And it's completely ridiculous that for all the billions wasted on CGI and global advertising that the final products aren't nearly as good as something made 60 years ago for $10.

"That was my own voice, Robin. Remember those lessons in ventriloquism?"

"Gosh, yes. I should have thought of that."

"No, don't blame yourself, Robin. It's sometimes difficult to think clearly when you're strapped to a printing press."

How come no one in Hollywood can write dialogue like that anymore?

Moviebob once did a interview with Gunn and ever since he has been a die hard Gunn shiller.

Doomsday needs around two billion to break even, why doesn't he just retire now?
I think they're hoping Doomsday is going to revitalize the public's interest in the franchise, so they figure it can afford to not make back its budget, if you can get back the level of support pre-Endgame.

Granted, I think that's delusional, but that's the only real strategy I can figure.

I have no idea why he thought this would work. He really should have known better.
Supergirl was already a bad choice for a second movie. Shoring up the Justice League members should've been his priority to start, and the man should've admitted that he couldn't write Superman and given it to someone that could.

Despite how badly he could've mangled them, the Green Lantern Corps should have obviously been his main point of interest for a string of movies. It has potential for a large ensemble cast and isn't being worked on like Batman, it is a close analogue to GotG in subject matter, and like Suicide Squad it had a poor-performing predecessor which he could come along and "fix" to further improve his reputation; even following the same format he always does would be more readily accepted for Green Lantern than it would for a character as incongruous to his ideas as Superman.

He’s a pedophile, he hides behind leftist ideology and “moral superiority” and being a hipster, while positioning himself in brands that are naturally adjacent to children.
He likely pushed for that cup design looking like a dick in hopes he could get to see kids holding what looks like a penis from certain angles. Just like he tried to trick children into watching gangbangs on peacemaker.

Luckily he is a failure as a groomer because his version of DC only appeals to fat middle aged dipshits like Furious Fernando. Children are safe from James Gunn's perversions because no normal person has any interest in the junk he makes.

>90% of what's announced is cartoons
>Peacemaker 2 was a letdown
>Supergirl mediocre at best
>Lanterns looks shitty
>Clayface could be cool but its also potentially another supergirl situation
>Still no Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, etc
>Deathstroke/Bane movie is supposedly a priority when there's no Batman yet

I liked The Suicide Squad and Superman but its starting to look like he doesn't exactly know what the fuck he's doing.

Marvel fits Gunn more. He could make more Marvel movies and find success. He delivered 3 successful movies to their fans so I imagine his next outing there will be good from a financial standpoint. Again, Marvel is more his taste so he might be given another misfit team. X-static perhaps?

Yeah, I can see that but Disney has seen better days so I doubt they would just take the hit.

Supergirl is a spin-off character. Anyone could have told him not to do that. And I agree on Superman.

Green Lantern would have worked but not with Guy as the face. It should have been either Hal, John or Kyle. Still, considering the fact that they run on willpower, I fear that they are too pure for Gunn. Red Lanterns perhaps?

Starting? He already crossed the finish line.

3 was riding off the first two being really good and was a massive step down, Gunn has lost it.

Gunn has actually written sweet likeable women before like Mantis, and Nina ( Just watched the clips). He knew for a fact why Captain Marvel 2 flopped.

Also wasn't he shamelessly raring and commenting about how some some women looked in his old tweets ( I might be misremembering someone correct me if I am wrong)?

It baffles me how thought Girl boss Supergirl with a lead that's not eye candy would sell.

Unless he was pressured by Hollywood or WB politics pressuring him, there's just no logical reason he should have thought this would work.

Perhaps but it was well received.

My guess is that Hollywood asked him to put more girlbosses if he wanted a career after his tweets came to light.
