Boyish looking supergirl actress telling Christian’s to not watch her movie.

Not that I consider the New York Post the most solid of news sources...

But for what it's worth, here is the article it's from:

She followed up the comment with: "But I mean, whose opinion do you really care about?” Alcock said. “If you’re p—ing the right kind of people off, you’re doing OK."

What did she mean by "the right kind of people" I wonder?

I don't think you should kowtow to critics on something they're wrong about but... you are trying to sell a movie and hoping that some of these dads will either want to see it or bring their daughters to see it. And you might want to consider if their criticisms might, you know, be valid.

I guess WB is preparing excuses for when this bombs, not that this sort of "fantagonism" has ever helped sell movies or anything else. Are we going to ever get through a year without any big-budget films being marketed with publicity campaigns that include an actress lashing out at "trolls", "basement dwelling losers", "incels", etc.

Is this the Lego Batman thread rn? I find it very charming. In the tutorial there was a lot of "We need to find a way to cross this gap! Maybe we could knock over that tree?" dialogue that just spoiled the puzzle but I didn't notice any in the first real mission as batman.

It's all very smooth and intuitive. I wish the "hard" difficulty was about twice as hard, but a someone that's read a few batman comics, I've noticed some cool references already.

It's decent enough I am enjoying my time though it suffers from "that" kind of writing.
So far, I feel like it dies down a lot post-League of Shadows missions, but yeah, those first few missions would be good to play silent. Bruce is just way too much of a Reddit himbo. Luckily it dies down when Gordon enters the picture and he becomes Batman.

the heavy-handed race swaps
Wish the multiple suits could change this. A lot of designs do not work well with the skin tone. Best example is Burton Catwoman who just looks really off.

Also wish there was a better costume selection. DLC may fix it, but there are a ton of obvious exclusions. The Batman 2004 gets no love in this game.

Couldn't agree more
The game is basically really simplified Arkham which I expected going in but i've had to play headset off from now since during the League of Shadows stuff I really couldn't stand how they kept talking, I've played other modern lego games that seem to have this problem ever since the characters can open their mouth and speak.

Depends on game from my experience. The previous DC game, Supervillains, actually had pretty decent dialogue that felt very DCAU. LEGO Star Wars, both Force Awakens and Skywalker Saga have been pretty abysmal though in terms of visual jokes of dialogue trying to be funny. There is a distinct lack of brevity since 2015, and I hate how much they rely on thing jokes, like character has a rubber duck. The League section leaned way too heavily on the joke being Yaks.

Yeah some of the early games relied on visual gags that worked with the idea the worlds are built on legos which is entertaining. It follows the source but doesn't overplay the idea of what you're looking at. I played that Skywalker Saga game for a bit and put it down because it's insanely boring and you notice that while characters can talk there isn't a lot of visual gags that work with the ideas that things are legos (they exist but not that plentiful). It's more about that tired observation comedy that plagues a lot of media now or as you said it's a gag stretched beyond when it might have been funny.

I got a chuckle out of the blue flower joke at least because there was build up that tied into gameplay. The Yak joke just seems like the thing most of these modern lego games do where there's a random thing as a neat visual gag at first but gets shoved into your face.

James Gunn DC. No real puppy. No real girl.

Regarding the Indian headline, I have always wondered whether the individuals involved in restoring the Snyderverse in India have genuine political connections to Prime Minister Modi and Hindu nationalists similar to the Hindu Trump cult have high ranking Modi members.

wait, like Scanner Darkly?
now that I think about it Lego A Scanner Darkly might be fun
Unexpected Phillip K Dick reference!

Alas, no - if you're not joking, it'll be the blue flower he has to seek in the first Nolan movie, the one with fear inducing properties. At least I presume so as I know nothing about this game. But I highly doubt it's about undercover drug investigations. (Incidentally, one of his most grounded and imho best works. I thought the bizarre rotoscoped film version they did with Keanu Reeves, Wynona Ryder and Woody Harelson was kino. Fuck - I just looked it up and Robert Downey Jr. was in it - I haven't seen this since it came out).

Oh, that's not rotoscoping? I recall an article at the time which called it that but I don't know the correct terms. I honestly quite liked it at the time and thought it worked well for the story - surreal and a kind of off. But we're talking 2006 here. I didn't know anything back then. :)

It's this....

Ras tells him to get a blue flower from a-top the mountain. During his trip he bumps into Talia, who is also looking for the flower. At the end, they both find it, but since only one can be accepted, Bruce is bummed. Then Bruce gets a tap on the shoulder and sees a stand selling Rare Blue Flowers, a decently comedic bit.

it's a photoshop filter that looks sorta like roto and it sorta works but also doesn't
like, a lot
iirc the director even admits he had no clue how to make it work or not and just shot shit and threw it on later

it's okay but really the only thing it does well is that "a bunch of faces at once" suit
tbh I sorta hate Scanner Darkly, I get the idea of Dick was trying to show how drug use made people boring but ffs you have RDJ, Woody and whoever the fuck else fucking around and make it boring is like, breh
