For people who don't know how unemployment works, you have to apply for jobs to get gibs. This means DSP went months with a finance degree unable to get a job, probably because he left every job he'd ever had on bad terms and had bad references.

To be fair you have to submit that you applied for two jobs (requirement varies, OH is two) and they can technically audit you to see if you actually did. But you can 100% apply for jobs you KNOW you won't get and ride on unemployment for a couple months.

On the controller slam thing its amazing how much streaming has made Phil sad and empty. He doesn't even get actually salty anymore. He's just a zombie.

Read the ruling again. The court agreed with Best Buy that his misconduct was severe enough to warrant termination, which puts the lie to Phil's "fraudulently fired" claim, but did not agree that the misconduct was severe enough to take away his NEETbux due to the small amount of money involved ($2.70) and Best Buy's lack of smoking-gun proof that it was for commercial use.
They fired him for less than three bucks?

Remember his Cup Noodles review? He could have just laughed it off and continued on, maybe even make a running joke out of it. It could have been a successful little side project. But since it wasn't both successful and making people want to worship him as a gigachad, he stopped doing them. I honestly think if he didn't care about being mocked he would be far more successful than being the desperate findom streamer he has become. I overall agree with your point that his laziness is the root of his problem though.
Phil is a constant state of contradiction,he cares about being mocked and has a huge ego,but he tried to have fan made TIHYDPs (the dark souls one) because he cloud make money out of it,and he also said that if you want to laugh at him you should support him,he has a huge ego but also he is ok with people making fun of him if they give him money.

They needed something to fire him for its real tough getting rid of a useless emoloyee as long as the employee shows up for work and is on time.

They got capone on tax evasion cuz it still sent him to alcatraz and out of chicago
They really hated him. Seems like he has always been unlikable. He's that weird 0. 001% that gets lucky and doesn't end up in *horrible squalor hellhole*.

How did Best Buy know he was buying those PS2s to run a tournament unless he was running his mouth like an idiot (as usual) and bragging to his fellow employees?
Eh I mean, who buys multiples of the same video game console unless you're re-selling them, or like... gifts, I guess? I don't know if that still counts as abuse of the system.

He is already talking about the 100 vest streak. Sad thing is he probably will hit it.

There are a few whales in his channel who make it their fucking duty to see that he gets it every stream.

The only thing more pathetic than spending thousands on gacha games is donating to a person SO they can spend thousands on gacha games.

Fuck everything about life.

Phil says the 'Best Buy for Business' departments were failing because "the company didn't give them the support they needed." What kind of support do you need to target clueless small business owners and sell them on signing up to pay Best Buy to do all their computer crap for them?
Phil said his department didn't even make enough to pay it's own employees, and they were some of the highest paid in the store, and this created a lot of "conflict". For some reason I don't have a hard time imagining 2006 Phil telling his bosses 'It's naht my fault my department isn't profitable, I did everything correct.'
He probably sat on his fat ass all day in the store just watching the clock and waited for floor-workers to bring people over to him if they happened to say the magic phrase 'I'm looking for a computer for my business and don't know what to get,' instead of being pro-active and helping customers computer shopping so he could make sure he didn't miss a potential sale or cold-calling businesses.
Phil seems like the type of guy who when he got asked to help in other areas of the store because his department was doing fuck-all he would tell his co-workers 'Sorry dude, that's naht my job.' Then he expected to just be made a manager when he had no management experience and didn't know anything about the store outside of twiddling his thumbs at his counter.

I don't think DSP could stand on his feet for 20 hours/week and do Kat's job even with breaks. He almost couldn't do a cashier's job. Heck, he might not be able to do it if they provided him a stool to sit on; that's how out of shape he is.

There's no way he could do cash. People tend to undervalue a lot of the physicality that goes into working cash, since it does look easy. You get to stand still in a 2x2 foot cube basically for minimum 4 hours, on tiled floor. I was a healthy young man when I did my time at cash and every shift I'd hobble home because the soles of my feet, knees, and lower back were killing me. And that's ignoring all the large, heavy orders you get at grocery stores that you really bend yourself out of shape just trying to reach and lift.

The man can't :
1) walk up stairs (at his own pace mind you) without getting horribly winded
2) lift anything heavier than like 30 pounds, and even then its only to waist level
3) handle even slight discomfort without turning into a whiny bitch.

If we are going to spitball about his possible options for employment, I honestly think that we shouldn't even consider grocery stores a possibility. There is no position at a grocery store he can physically do if any of his health issues are even remotely true.

worked different service industry stuff and you're right, when I went to a more sedentary standing job from being a waiter it hurt my feet way more just standing there and not being able to move around.
