The stories behind some of these are so sad. Like, the little girl in the water--she died after being trapped in the water for an extreme amount of time after an earthquake, iirc. The scary looking woman on the bed, she had been held captive in that bedroom for like 20 years or something.

Also, the guy in the fucked-up mask was "The Beast of Jersey" - a serial killer who kidnapped children and sacrificed them to Satan for 10 years, and that pic with the woman on the right - she was dug up and turned into a doll (left) by her doctor, who got caught 7 years later but was deemed innocent. Apparently, he was later found dead, lovingly embracing the doll.

Carl Tanzler. He wasn't deemed innocent, the statute of limitations for grave robbing and abusing a corpse had run out.
