I was under the impression it was going to be some online VR island but it being planned to be real amplifies the stupidity. The Discord is almost entirely teenagers trying to get in on “free” NFTs (read: still going to have to pay gas fees) by hijacking twitter replies to shill a scam. I was skeptical as to whether they were actually even trying to do something physical. On the 22nd of December some planning permission approval was celebrated by the owners as a proof of progress:

Their plan to “just find another island” is amusing when they’ve already made a bunch of diagrams in their masterplan that are dead set on getting Nananu-i-cake and received tentative planning permission for a resort there.
