I know this is probably a stupid question to ask here, but what is the point of doxxing?

Mostly because it's funny, especially when they chimp out. It also serves to inform people from getting scammed by a cow. Take a look at other threads on this site.

CG doxing tends to be for laughs but a lot of bad people get doxed on this site. Check out some of the horror cows here and you'll begin to understand.

TUG has been caught catfishing gay men to come to Tennessee and has used his hamplanet wife to catfish bisexual men into sending dick pics to use for blackmail. His dox is a public service to protect people from him. TUG's wife even tried to catfish Ro Kabir for dick pics in the WC discord by having cyber sex with him in voice chat.

Not everyone is worth doxing. There are thousands of CG people who will never get doxed.

As it says on every page we are not the autistic illuminati.

I'll give you an honest answer and piggy back off of what @Analog Devolved has stated. I see that you're new, I'm going to assume you're not moral fagging and just honestly asking, or you wouldn't have come here to begin with (I hope). As Analog stated, it's a good bit for the lulz, and also a way of being thorough, you could say. Speaking for myself, I like to verify that this is indeed the person being an unhinged dipshit. You'll find no shortage of them in culture wars alike, and CG is no exception and I've always found them amusing. It isn't for anything malicious like everyone will cry about, if we advocated for IRL fuckery from posting a dox, we'd get shat on and probably banned, and rightfully so.

Many of my own write ups have had their actual fucking names in their twitter handles. Ryan Tyler Palmer, AKA Word Nerd, was easy to find. My recent one, Matthew Vealey, AKA Skinny, had followed a similar path and had his twitter @ set as his fist and last name. Both of these dipshits made it no secret about what states they were in either, and with all of these factors, it takes a matter of seconds of using a search engine to find a location. If someone evil wanted to find them, it would have already happened, saying the farms attributed to that shit is just stupid.

Then, you have people where it's practically a public service. Most of the CG write ups here are just stupid with a few degenerates like Lamont, but that pales in comparison to the shit that's been dug up on other parts of the board. In Weeb Wars I got the joys of exposing a guy sending his tard brigade after a chick that ran into the arms of another man - only the guy had a wife and kid at home the entire time. Another who was writing fanfic about underage anime girls doing smut shit, a guy with a history of faking illnesses for money and attention. Then there's the more dirty people on this site that get exposed - legit, proven pedophiles, zoophiles, etc. Those are a public fucking service, imo.

-TenNapel has become a full-time YouTube MAGA clown grifter, which would be fine if he didn't spend two years decrying e-celebrity

Meanwhile, Nasser also seems to have wised up. His campaigns will get funded. Jon Del Arroz seems to have wised up. His campaigns will also get funded. A few CGers have rescued themselves.

I'd like to see Vikki and Dean fully awaken to reality, but I really am enjoying their content lately.

My last concern is Ya Boi Zack. I'd like 2021 to see him return to livestreaming the death of the mainstream, and stay connected to his customers. I'm concerned about his income.
But either way, I'll still promote his comics.

Hopefully things keep moving in this direction.
