I always assumed he got nothing, and he was just there because he's a fucking idiot.

Both the streamer and audience acknowledging it's not really about the comics anymore. Just alogging a random guy nobody understands why he's the alog target. Literally melton vs steeltoe.

I honestly don't even see how they can even find Trashcast entertaining at this point..... it's always about one guy and the drama is clearly performative which makes it even worse because it's fake. Also he's afraid that Yellow Flash or his audience are going to invade his chat again....and he should because they will. Throat Goat is a bully, he only goes after people that don't do anything in return because he's a coward.....and that's a fact.

See? He can dish it but he can't take it.... he's a fucking coward. Probably one of the reasons why he hasn't been doing trashcast like he did.....Because people are giving him what he gave one person Non-Stop, and I hope they continue to go after him.... Throat Goat deserves it.

Rate me late, but I was curious what Cap'n Cummings has been up to, and lo and behold, I found a 2-hour interview with him from 5 months ago that went under the radar. It's interesting to hear what the OG CGer thinks about the state of the movement.


I'm about 2/3 through. Cummings said that the real reason Richard couldn't use Kickstarter for Splatto Comics was because he was late on his original Jawbreakers campaign (the one that he drew himself), that he did through Kickstarter:

Apparently the comic was complete but Richard just sat on it without delivering (sound familiar?). What's funny is that I remember Richard going to comic conventions and selling individual copies of the original Jawbreakers, at the same time that he apparently wasn't fulfilling the Kickstarter.
To be fair, apparently there's an EVS tweet-thread from 2025 where he disputes this:

Somebody posted a screenshot of the supposed Kickstarter appeal in the thread.

Cummings said that Richard's lawsuit against Waid was on shaky ground (as tortious interference) from the start, because there were actually other publishers willing to publish his book after Antarctic pulled out; Richard just chose not to use them.

This is actually really big. Part of what drew people to Richard was seeing someone in the mainstream actively fucking with some low level self-publishing fella.
Waid is still a faggot, but the fact that the lie of not being able to find anyone else to publish was such an important part in people supporting Richard is actually really fucked up.
