It can be argued in American courts whether or not a minor should be tried as an adult, I'm assuming Canda has something similar.

Won't happen immediately though if the possibility is being considered.

They can be tried as a adult under certain circumstances, violent crime, for instance, as well as their 'maturity' is a factor, I'm not sure what the exact wording is, but essentially if they show that they are fully aware of what they were doing, and the consequences, they can be tried as a adult.
(Though I might be wrong, as I haven't looked at the laws around stuff like this in a long time)

That's kind of what's interesting to me. In a sea of edgy teenagers, she doesn't even stand out because most of those teenagers won't ever attack anybody. There are people who write more alarming shit that haven't attacked anybody receiving a lot more scrutiny on the internet. She's so average in every other aspect, at least in how she seemed to conduct herself online.

There's also a bunch of comments on her deviantART profile. The weird thing is, some people are actually defending her. This poster offers some insight on her situation, and the fact that apparently mental health care is pretty good in the area where she lives.

the one saying she "made no attempt to kill" because their were only minor injuries is forgetting the fact that she a) specifically said she wanted to murder them all and b) some wannabe spree killers never succeed in killing one person because they are too incredibly incompetent to succeed, which is a good thing for the rest of us.

Incompetence doesn't indicate lack of will.

I'm hoping this is just the defense throwing shit at the wall, hoping that they can get this imbecile a lowered sentence. Maybe going for institutionalization rather than jail.
 
Tumblr is a strange place. If you stab someone you get pity because you had a cliche background. Oh, and self dxed autism.

"Stop calling her psycho, ugly, etc. She's a mentally ill youth (I thought she was autistic! If you even compare the two by mistake people attack you) and she was bullied. You should feel sorry and hope she gets treatment." I can't believe people defend actions like that and in the same breath get upset when people blame the disease.

Being bullied does not give you an excuse to go on a stabbing spree. End of story.
