I wouldn't say they are ruining it like they are with other things. Actually, it was the wrong way for me to explain
I don't find what the article says especially ruinous. Classical-pop crossover is an embarrassing fad but cannot be blamed on zoomers. Using classical music as mood management (or for "functional" rather than "artistic" purposes) is not bad at all.
 
Wagner's so good that even Jews have to like him.
Daniel Barenboim did all of Wagner's mature operas (or Gesamtkunstwerk in Wagner's term) and the recordings are quite rightly acclaimed -- but then so are those by Christian Thielemann, who reportedly referred to Barenboim as "that jew".

Georg Solti's recordings of Wagner are the best that exist and he was a Hungarian Jew IIRC.
