I recently heard mention of it from another thread and it made me go back and look at it with a fresh perspective.
Was it justified? Was it unjustified?

In the original thread dedicated to it, few seemed sympathetic while a vast majority unequivocally condemned it.
Those that supported him were more like baitposters, seeking to get a rise out of normal people. While more average thread participants opposed it.

And it recently got me thinking, what do people think of it now?

It achieved literally nothing beyond inspiring even more retarded copycat shooters and giving justification for governments to crack down on their own citizens.
It led to the death of 8chan, so it accomplished a net negative. Still, 50 dead sand coons isn't a bad high score, maybe the death of Infinity would be worth it if someone else came even close to recreating it, but instead all the copycats are autistic spergs who can barely even kill one person, let alone 50. Maybe he shouldn't have mentioned fucking Pewdiepie in his manifesto and the last message to the world if he wanted more than ironic edgelords to follow in his footsteps.

dysgenic roach looking neanderthal motherfucker. nigga was below king von in terms of respectability thats really fucking saying something. someone take away his aryan pass

I remember going to school the next day and my classmates went "lol im the kebab destroyer" and made jokes about it the whole day. Those guys were chill I should've probably kept in touch instead of shutting myself inside my room.

Also Brenton was a fucking nigger for ruining 8chan.

It was probably too early and not in the right place. If there was a modern case in Britain then it might have triggered a change in mindset and an actual change for good. Adding memes to it absolutely did not help, though they did cement it in public mindset.

But anyone who thinks it is possible to remove Kebab and Naan and somehow not kill any innocent

ye it was good
I heard that mosque was actually radical and funding...something honestly man I don't even care, it was just good to kill them
we should get rid of the rest

Some people say this was a false flag attack, and I think there may be something to this theory. It has been extremely convenient for those gunt guarding Islam, and lying (taqiyya) is pretty much a standard operating procedure over the vast bulk of Islam. Muslims also have a considerable history of sacrificing their own whenever it is militarily or politically expedient to do so, and I can totally believe they would sacrifice 50 odd of their own for the greater cause of Islam. Hamas and Hezbollah use their own citizens as human shields for their military activity and assets routinely to this day. Martyrs right? The "victims" may even have been aware of what was going to go down

I have no firm evidence to support this, but it is consistent with what we do know about Islam and this incident

To be honest, there are very few websites I question regarding how organic they were from the very beginning, and I apply this skepticism to 8chan as well. I sometimes think 8chan was meant to be a GLOW NIGGER fed posting honey pot website that got lucky when GamerGate happened. Mind you, before the Christchurch incident occurred, the users of 8chan /k/ found out the board owner was a member of Australian law enforcement. Fed posting on 8chan /k/ got bad, but 8chan /pol/ is far worse. In fact, users are being banned for calling out and reporting fed posting. 8chan /v/ hate for Mark Mann one of the few things about the site that felt organic and real.
