All of this is, ironically, way bigger drama than Chris and his autistic life. The state lowering the level of crime because the defendant pleads he's transgender is groundbreaking stuff with implications way higher than a weirdo people on the Internet laugh at. Prison sentencing is night and day from the court process itself so even if it's law that pre-op stay with what they really are, it doesn't necessarily mean anything to how he's tried
Chris using his transgenderism in court would entirely hinge on him getting a lawyer worth a damn (or having a big name lawyer do it) that would be willing and capable of playing the trans card and play it from the bottom of the deck, to quote one of the OJ lawyers.

But since Chris will be stuck with an overworked public defender who won't give a fuck because he's got 5-10 more clients he has to deal with, he'll probably go with the insanity defense because being put in a mental facility is the best Chris can hope for in the eyes of a public defender with zero vested interest in Chris and his bullshit.

Some more potential cellmates...

I'm nervous for tomorrow when my coworkers ask me how my weekend was. I might just look at them with dead fish-eyes and sweat dripping down my forehead as a I struggle to say, "Fine."
How I think a lot of us spent the day.

So it's incest charges, not rape. Interesting. There won't be bail or anything posted until morning, most likely they wanted him at least overnight (they like to pick people up on weekends).
